Yes... There Will Be Blood (Epic)

Backstage, no more then 15-20 minutes after Only the Strong 2009 came on the air. Genesis was seen backstage walking by. The bandage that was over his forehead is now removed to reveal that his wound has healed. However, an ugly scar remains just above his eyebrow. Every time he would look himself in the mirror every morning to see that scar. It will forever remind of the attack Epic had done to him before. Needless to say, Epic did leave his mark in more ways then one.

Gen. motions for Overload backstage announcer Joe Beakman to come over towards him for an impromptu interview. Against Beakman's wishes (since he fears Genesis after Gen. had threatened to beat him up a year ago). Gen. wants Beakman to do an interview. After Beakman nods his head in disapproval. Gen. shoves him to the ground, takes his microphone, and conducts an interview of his own:

Since this dick wad doesn't want to do an interview with me. Guess I"ll have to do it myself. I'd imagine that, in Scott Epic's warped little view on the world. He thinks he's walking into this match with the advantage. Granted, my previous wound has been healed. The area is still a bit on the tender side. However, what you should know Epic is this. I've said it before. I'll say it once more. I'm not afraid to bleed.

But you ? I have a good feeling that you are, Epic. Your afraid of watching your own life blood poor out of your skull onto the floor. Its pretty obvious. All those blindsides vicious attacks on me. Deep down. Beneath all the cockiness & arrogance. Your afraid to bleed.

With that being said. I say this to you Epic. Tonight, our match here at Only the Strong will be a First Blood Match. Will you accept ? I hope so.

Oh... and one other thing, Epic. What goes around ? Comes around .

BuZZ:What does Genesis mean by that ? Well hopefully we'll hear from Scott Epic at some point during this broadcast.

Cameras catch Scott Epic in the parking garage, offloading his luggage from his rental car. He slings the duffel bag over his shoulder, and pulls the wheeled bag to the side to slam the door shut. Adjusting his sunglasses, he begins to make his way to the building. An interviewer rushes up to him.

Scott! We've been looking all over for you!

Yeah, well, Scott Epic is a man that doesn't adhere to your little... interview schedules. You just tell me where my punching bag is, or whatever drugs he O.D.'d on, or whatever little call in excuse he went through after I busted his skull open, then beat his ass the following week, and why exactly he can't come back for one more piece of an EPIC beatdown...

Uh, actually Scott, he threw down a First Blood challenge for you...

Scott stops, raising his sunglasses from his eyes, resting them on his head.

Oh he did now, did he? Guess he doesn't learn.

Scott begins walking to the arena again before the interviewer catches up...

So... do you accept?

Scott stops, sighing. He looks up to the lights above him, shaking his head...

God, why do you send me nothing but idiots...

He lowers his head, contemplating a well aimed bitch slap at this individual...

Look, junior. I don't deal with idiots too well, so I'm going to spell this out clearly for you and for the rest of the XWA universe. Genesis, big name, big establishment, Scott Epic's bitch. Me, brash newcomer, fountain of charisma, the most talked about personality to join the XWA roster this past month... and the man that's making Genesis the Xtraordinaire absolutely irrelevant. Do I accept?

You're damn right I accept. See, what Genesis doesn't realize is that his time is done. It's finished. If I have to drain every single bit out of him so that he finally realizes it, goes away, and clears the path for my rightful ascension? So be it. He's washed up, and it's going to be me that finally puts him out of his misery in a bloody smear. And it's happening tonight. Does that answer your question for you?

The interviewer nods. Scott doesn't give him the chance to say something else that's even dumber. He continues his trek into the arena.

Little did Epic know. Genesis was lurking nearby. Ready to strike. Ready to devour. Ready for his revenge !

As Epic continued walking after his brief interview. Genesis runs up behind behind and catches him with a big forearm to the back of his head. Sending Epic crashing down the mat. His sunglasses flying in the opposite direction.

Did you REALLY think it was going to be this easy, Scottie ? Huh !?

Genesis then kicks Epic in the stomach a couple of times. Then picks him up, and slams him up against the wall nearby. However, Epic fires back afterwords. Getting a few good shots in on Genesis. Both men grapple, and fight there way back towards Scott's rental car. Gen. gains the upper hand and tackles Epic. Both men land on the hood of the card. Leaving several dents in the process.

Both men roll around the car for a brief moment before falling back down to the concrete below them. Epic seemed to get the upper hand of that struggle as he gets up first before Genesis. In doing so, Epic see's a lead pipe nearby. He snatches it, and before Gen. realizes it:

BAM !

Epic delivers what seemed to be the knockout blow. Cracking the lead pipe over Genesis' skull. Blood starts to trickle down. Yet again, it seems like Epic has the upper hand once more.

As Epic attempts to regain his composure, catching his breath before attempting to walk into the arena. Genesis miraculously pulls himself up and cracks Epic in the back with the lead pipe. Why Gen. didn't target his head is a mystery at this point in time. You would think Gen. would want to return the favor, and cut open Epic. But he had other plans in mind.

Gen. grabbed Epic by the hair. Pulling him towards the side of the car on the passenger side. Literately dragging him across the ground. Blood begins to trickle down Gen's face. It seemed like deja vu all over again to the fans watching on in the arena on the titan tron.

Gen. pulled Epic back up to his feet. Delivers a couple more stiff rights and lefts. Before deciding to finish this altercation off once & for all.

As hard as he could do it. Genesis grabs Epic by the head and slams him face first into the Passenger window. The window shatters as Epic's head is hanging out inside the vehicle. After a few brief seconds pass. Epic's legs give out as he passes out on the ground. Blood begins to pour rather profusely from his head.

Gen. then stands over Epic's body. Epic is semi-conscious at this point. As Gen. starts paint brushing him to get him woke up. As he does, Gen. had this to say:

*breathes heavily* Payback is a mother fucker, isn't it Epic !?

Genesis then stomps on his stomach as hard he could:

Seems as though you and I will be playing on an even playing field tonight. How do you like the taste of your own blood, Epic ? Fact is, as I've said before. I'm not afraid to bleed. Now I wonder, after you've just received a taste of your own medicine. How does it feel to have the shoe on the other foot ?

As for our match tonight. Its officially on like Donkey Kong, BITCH !!!

Gen. reaches down and wipes Epic's face. Getting most of Epic's blood on his hand. He proudly wipes it on his chest. As a small token of victory for the time being. He felt proud in the fact that he, after the last couple of week's of Epic getting the advantage. Had just scored a huge blow over his rival.

Before anymore damage could be done. Security comes in and grabs Genesis. Escorting him into the arena. As Gen. smiles with a devilish look on his face. Like a cold-blooded animal has after taking down and devouring there fallen prey.

As Gen. is being escorted in. Epic comes to. Regaining his composure and pulling himself together. Lashing out at security. Refusing there as he wants to walk in like a man. On his own two feet.

Only thing there was left to do for both men was to get bandaged up and walk back out into the arena to do it all over again, one more time. With both men wounded. Its anyone's guess as to who would come out in there rubber match. To put an end to what has become one of more dramatic rivals in XWA's history.
