[Sushi-X]

Sushi-X was enjoying the Only the Strong PPV from his locker room. He paid particular attention to the interview with the members of Upper Echelon, specifically, the XWA No Limits Champion, Bryan Yang. Yang's claim to be the best pound-for-pound wrestler in the company, though true, has irked the Chicago Ninja. Following a couple of matches, Fabiola got a chance to get a reaction from the challenger. She knocked on the dresser room door.

*knock knock* Sushi! Sushi-X! Can I have a moment with you?

He just finished changing into his ring gear knowing his match was within the hour.

Enter!

In walked Fabiola with microphone and cameraman to capture the thoughts of Sushi-X.


Sushi-X, in just a little bit, you fight "The Dragon" Bryan Yang for the No Limits title. Now a few moments ago, we heard from the champion. He made some disparaging remarks, saying that your best was not good enough. How do you respond to that?

How do I respond? Allow me to quote the great Ozzy Osbourne. "We'll just pass him there, why should we even care?" That, Fabiola, is of course from "Iron Man", written nearly 40 years ago. Why should we care, Bryan? I mean, I don't matter in your eyes, right? I have all of one win this season, and that was back in March. We all know the story. We all know my struggles. I'm certainly not on your level, right Bryan? Or the level below that? Or the level below that? Why should they even care? Because the fans, and apparently, the management know a good thing when they see it.

Yeah, you've had an impressive run as champion. Congratulations. Tonight, I put you through twenty minutes of hell. I guarantee I will give you BETTER than my best effort. Better than that one two weeks ago. And when it's over, I will be the Ironman. And the new No Limits champion. Unlike the people in the song, at least you'll see it coming. But like the people in the song, it'll be too late, when you do see it. When you do feel it. When you feel the power of X.

Just as Sushi-X finishes speaking, the camera turns in the direction of the oncoming champion. Surely, he would have a response.

Yang enters the scene with a look of disdain and contempt on his face. Fabiola brings the mic a little closer to him, and he speaks.

I'm still at a loss for words here. The fact that I have to share the ring with someone as big a disgrace to this sport still racks my brain. I mean, O'Malley must really be strapped for talent, if he has to scrap the bottom of the barrel to give me challengers for my...and let me repeat that...MY No Limits title. If management knows a good thing when they see it as you so delicately put it, they must be blind, deaf and stupid. You never have been, aren't, and never will be in my league. You can stand there and quote old metal songs and trump yourself up all you want. But the facts are facts. You don't have the talent, skill set or experience to beat me. Heart only takes you but so far in this business. When the chance comes, you need the ability to close the deal. An ability that you don't have. You see, I'm what you call in this sport a "Finisher". I leave no doubt in the ring. Ask James Bowen, Jimmy Vain and Kelon JAH. They'll tell ya' just how well I finish, that is...if any of them have found their teeth yet.

Yang shakes his head.

Truth be told, I can't stand the sight of you. You're past a disgrace. I'm an Asian-American man. I was born and raised in New York City, by my mother and father both hail from Hong Kong. And I'm proud of my Asian heritage. I spent a great deal of my career before XWA in Japan, so I have an appreciation for Japanese culture and history as well. Yet, here you stand, and insult every Asian viewer and every Asian on the XWA roster. You're from freakin' Chicago, and you dare call yourself a Ninja? I'll bet my ridiculously high paycheck that your ass isn't even Asian. Yet you come out week after week and defile a part of Asian history. I'm not even Japanese, and I'm offended by you having the audacity to fashion yourself as a Ninja. Ninjas are the definition of skill, precision and technique. All traits that you're not even close to having. It'd be more fitting if you came out to the ring in a Court Jester costume, because you're the biggest running joke XWA has going. But tonight? The only person who's gonna be laughing, is yours truly.

What I am outside the ring shouldn't be a concern to you. What should concern you is what Upper Echelon's gonna think when you get beat by a "nobody". I'm sure it'll bring disgrace to "your title". And your friends. And your family. Hope they're not watching. Because tonight, I show you what I am truly capable of. Do you have the stamina? The drive to keep up? The ability to close not when you're ahead, but when you're down and out? Guess we find out. Tonight, I finish you.

*Eh heh* You'll finish me? Maybe if this was the XWA video game. But sorry, there's no cheat codes you can input that'll make you match up. I'm the best "finisher" in the sport. I don't just win, I dominate. That's the difference between me and every other man who's ever been champion in this company, no matter how high on themselves they are. No one, and I do mean NO one can do what I do, how I do it. I don's say I'm the best pound for pound for my health. I say it because it's truth. And there hasn't been a man in over a years time able to prove otherwise. You my friend, are no exception. Tonight's gonna be the longest 20 minutes of your life. And after I'm done, "The power of X" will be running on empty.

Yang shoots his challenger a fine glance before leaving the area, presumably to make his final preparations for the title match.
