The fans were piled into the arena, the pyro display lights up the stage, and Takedown's season finale was live and on the air.

Matt: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Takedown season finale!!! In a year that's been short for XWA, there hasn't been any shortage of action, and tonight, we end the 2009 network schedule with a BANG. We are live in a sold out Madrid Arena here in Madrid, Spain. And just one week away from one of XWA's flagship Pay Per Views, we're sure to see more twists and turns tonight. Matt Goldman & Buzz Berman here, and we're happy you've invited us into your homes this evening.

Buzz: And you couldn't have picked a better show to do so, people. There have been rumblings all week with regards to the GrandSlam title match at Only The Strong. Tonight, the #1 Contender Kris Cade's going to answer to those rumblings.

Just then, Cade's music cues over the PA.

Buzz: And it looks like we won't have to wait to find out.

Cade steps out from backstage met with a thundering cheer from the fans. As he makes his way down to ringside, he greets the front row fans in typical fashion. It can be seen clearly on his face that he was focused on what he had to announce tonight. He slides into the ring, and receives a mic.

Hey Robby? Ever have that sinking feeling? That feeling when you know everything's about to fall apart around you, but there's little you can do about it? Well, if last week is any indication, you should be feeling real concerned with where things are going. All season long, you've ducked, dodge, shucked, jived and weaseled your way into keeping the GrandSlam title on your shoulder. But to be fair, last time we met in the cage, you actually did answer a few questions. You actually did show some form of guts for once in your life. And we all know it carried into last week. You, your boys, and your play toy Jenna, standing high and mighty in the ring. Gloating as only you can gloat. But at the end of the night, it all came down to one moment. One defining point in time that sealed the deal, and told the tale of where your title run is headed. Where Viewer Discretion's reign on Takedown is head. Out cold & flat on it's back, just like your boy Breaker.

Cade nods as the fans continue to cheer him on. He paces across the ring and continues.

You see, Robby. I've been playing by your rules since day one. Which let's face it, you have none. You change them up as you go along, all so that you can have some form of edge in staying on top. Well, Robby. The 1st match between us, you chose. The 2nd match between us was Mike Roach's call. This time around? I'm picking the fight. And this time around, there's going to be no margin of error, no outside variables, and no doubts as to who the better man is. And we all know that in XWA, only one match answers the question of who the better man is. The match I just so happen to have put on the map.

A PURE RULES MATCH.

Buzz: Sylk and Cade in an Ironman Match? Now THAT'S what I call huge!!!

And it's only fitting actually. Only The Strong, the XWA showcase of Pure wrestling. The one event all season where a man's skill is put to the ultimate test, that I put yours to IT'S ultimate test. Pure Rules is my domain. There's no cheap rope breaks, and you're not allowed to scamper out of the ring when your back's against the ropes. It's a battle of will. A battle of who's mentally stronger. Of who's the better conditioned athlete. Of who's the better fighter. And when it comes to Shoot Wrestling, Robby...*ho ho ho* there's only three other guys on the entire roster who's in my league, and you ain't one of 'em. At Soul Survivor, you proved you can pull a fast one on me. At Ring Rage, you proved you can climb a cage faster then me. But at Only The Strong my boy? You have to finally...finally prove that you can BEAT me. Cuz bet your SoCal ass I'm coming to beat you.

Cade lowers his mic. Only but a few seconds would pass before he was soon to be joined in the arena.

["The R*" Robby Sylk]

"For The Vein" begins to play and the crowd in Spain boos hard as they look towards the stage. They wait for Sylk to come out, but he doesn't...instead their attention turns up to the Jumbotron where he sits somewhere via satellite.

Hey Cade. You can yuck it up all that want about last week...the fact of the matter is that before that big baboon that happens to be called "Bull" for some reason saved your asses, VD had yours and Spaz's served up on a silver platter.

Here you go again though, talking up more junk about me having to "prove myself" again. Don't you get it yet Kris? I don't need to prove a damn thing to anyone. Not any of those fans in that arena, not any of the idiotic smarks making comments on message boards or in the privacy of Instant Messengers...freakin' nerds...

...nobody! I'm already ring certified, dude. If you don't like the fact that I don't play by the rules or play well with others, then you can take your ball and go running back home to mommy.

The GSC sat resting on his knee. He picks up and displays it to the camera.

See this here...I call it the object of your desires. The fact of the matter is that you want this Cade, and you want it bad. Your practically sprung over it...and the only person who wants you to have this belt more is Mike Roach. That's why he gift-wrapped you another shot at it at OTS, that you're now trying to stack in your favor by making it a Pure Rules. Now you stand there making it sound as if...once again...that I have to prove that I can beat you.

Last I checked Cade, you were the challenger. That means that you're the one who has to beat me, and believe when I say that the third time will not be the charm for you. I shouldn't even have to acknowledge your desperate little stipulation request, but you know what...I will. If you want Pure Rules at OTS, then you've got Pure Rules at OTS. The only things that's gonna be proven though Kris...is that I play your "game" even better than you can.

Cade raises his mic for another response.

Oh, it's not a game I'm playing, Robby. It's deadly real, my friend. The way me and the GM see things is hand and hand, eye to eye. The GrandSlam title is a title that stands for something. It's a title that has history. It means something to us, whereas it's just a trinket to you. Something to further pad that always influx ego of yours. To you, it's not a title, it's a tool you use to walk over the rest of the roster and abuse the system. You think that belt makes you bigger then business. And there's no one bigger then the business. I'd figure you'd know that, but I guess guys like you eventually need a little jolt of reality. To be knocked off your high horse like Syrus did O'Dell back at Soul Survivor. Like Ames did Primo back at Vendetta. In one week's time, it's your turn to eat like Jimmy would say some "Humble Pie".

Cade looks out to the crowd, who all show their agreement by way of cheer.

Matt: Sounds to me like Cade's poised to make the most of the opportunity, eh partner?

Buzz: Am I the only person in Spain with some sense? All Cade wants to do is get the champ in the ring to soften him up some more. I'd bet my FORMER broadcast partner Roach is probably sitting in the wings with some kind of stipulation to stack the deck on Sylk again this week.

Matt: You're starting to sound as paranoid as Sylk does, Buzz.

Buzz: You call it paranoia. I call it what it is. Mike Roach has always had it out for Sylk. And Kris Cade gives him a perfect chance to 1up him.

Humble pie, huh? Unfortunately I don't think that I have a taste for it, Kris. I'll tell you what I do have a taste for though. Some of that fine Italian cuisine. That's why I've beaten the rest of the roster to the punch. Come take a look outside of this window here.

The camera follows Robby as he points outside of this hotel room to show the famous canals of Venice.

Yep, that's right...Venice. As you can see Cade, I'm already in Italy. Rather than have to go another week of you and Roachie throwing me into some other cockamamie match to try and butter me up...I've decided to take the week off!

There was a heavy hiss of boos from the fans in Spain now.

Buzz: Brilliant! That man deserves a break in my opinion.

Let me give you some advice...use this time to train, plan, strategize, whatever it is that your heart's content to do...because OTS is your last stand, Cade. Your last chance. Your last opportunity. This time, there will be no rematch for you if you can't get it done...and if Roach's ass tries to get you another one, I'll report him to the board of directors myself for favortism!

Matt: It doesn't surprise me one bit that Sylk would use politics to try and get a 1-up for himself...

This will be the final championship round...and just like Jon Payne in the UFC, I'm gonna finish this...by finishing you.

Kris gives a smirk coupled with a nod of his head before speaking the final reply.

Ya' know something, Robby? There really isn't anything more that needs to be said then, is there? Not until the match is at hand. And when it is, trust me when I say that my actions are going to speak louder then anything, and I do mean anything...either of us could say on one of these hear mics. I'm not going to stand here and make any guarantees of me winning the title, but I will make these people, the people back home, and you a promise. And that's the promise that next week in Italy, they're going to see to see one hell of a fight. And I'm a man of my word. So come ready for a fight, Sylk. That's you'll get your fill of it once they ring that bell at Only The Strong.

Cade lowers his mic, and his theme begins to play. The final shot of the scene highlights a panned out view of Cade looking to the Jumbotron as Sylk sips a glass of wine, as if to say that was all the preparation he needed. Takedown then goes backstage for an interview segment.
