The first poll for the new season, yay! Pretty cut and dry...do you guys want to hold another Draft to start 2010 and shake up the roster again, leave the roster the way it is, or have an alternative option where anyone on the roster can request to switch brands-to be approved based on the need of that brand (males only obviously). There'll also be the chance for brand Trades during the season if other members are willing.
On a similar note, beginning in 2010 Diamonds will be able to compete on either TakeDown or Overload with no restriction except that you can't have matches on both shows in a given week.
Vote and share feedback if you choose.

I'm going with Draft to bring in new feuds so others can interact with and try something new, and probably some title switches? like Pure to Overload and National to TakeDown.

Naw, the belts would stay where they are whether there was a draft or not. The purpose was to have one standard belt (GSC and NAT) and one specialty belt (Pure & No Limits) on each show.

I voted keep it the same, and I'll tell ya' why.
Let's be honest here. Damn near everyone is going to want to go to Overload. If you deny it, and you're on Takedown, you're kidding yourself. Takedown wasn't at all as strong as Overload this year. We all know it. We also know the reason why. Lack of characters. After the draft, about 45% of Takedown's roster dropped off the face of the Earth, leaving the rest of us to work the show however we could. But the misconception is that "I'll have more to do on Overload."
Big mistake.
Overload is still "the storyline show". In fact, right now, Upper Echelon IS the story on Overload. Almost every major character on Overload is involved in the UE angle. So who would you draft without totally messing up what's been done? You have a lot of people on Takedown who'd love to move, and no one on Overload who wants to. There's no way you can facilitate a draft like that, because Overload is losing more then it's gaining. UE is Overload right now. All the existing angles on Overload stem from UE. The only people not involved in the UE angle is Punch, Jimmy Ames and Lionel Xander, aside from the No Limits guys, and even THAT now runs through the UE angle as Brian Yang's now a part of them.
Doing a draft totally breaks that up. Because the only people you have to draft on Overload are those neck deep in the UE angle, and the No Limits characters, who'd be in limbo on Takedown. It's a situation where, and I hate to say it like this, Takedown would have more to gain from a draft then Overload. Because removing just one of the characters in the UE angle totally botches the angle and what it's become. Takedown is building back steam. With the recent additions to the roster on Takedown, the show's slowly starting to regain some form of flow. You think switching that up is gonna help the situation? One or two characters being be moved, preferable characters not connected to an major storyline or stable can be potentially moved, but IMO a draft does XWA more harm then good. Don't worry about shaking things up. Worry about making what's in front of you work.

We've already decided that we're going the route of a selective roster switch. Meaning that we (3X and Myself) have sorted through the rosters of Takedown and Overload, deciphered the same thing you stated in your last paragraph. Marginal changes need to be made. We've already decided on 4 characters we'll be shifting, all of them have been informed of the shift. If we come across other we see might benefit from a change, we'll give them the heads up and let the decide if they want to. Sort of a reverse of the brand change by choice selection.
