One of the main missions of 2010 is going to be to further developing the "world" that the XWA exists in, not only their own characters. This I call the "XWAniverse". What I'd like to do is blur the lines between what a character does when they are "on camera" and when they aren't, so that it's one seamless "existence" for everyone in the XWA, as well as establish more unique settings for interaction beyond just sporting arenas.
The XWAniverse is going to be the total IC area for members in 2010. There won't be a COOC board anymore, because it will all be under one board, split between the actual show brand sub-boards and then a general "life outside of XWA" board. Part of the purpose will also be to streamline the frontpage (there will be a few sections getting cleaned up over the offseason) in addition to what I've already explained.
Second, within the confines of the "world" will be areas of interest that are important to the XWA's "state of being". Some examples (not a full list):
The Blackheart Corporation Headquarters
The Skool of Hardcore
The Togo Dojo
XWA Studios
What I'm gunning for here isn't just a structural "create a new place to RP" thing, but conscious effort by people to create a dynamic world that the league is based in. Yes, that means fantasy elements can be incorporated into things as needed (or desired, as long as it's not overdone).
You as members can contribute to this is any way you can imagine. A reality show of your character, maybe? Side adventures as an international spy? Or maybe even a side job as a demon exorcist...I'm exaggerating a bit here, but you get the idea.
Weigh in with any ideas that you might have.
