Following a match, Takedown returns backstage with Fabiola.
Ladies and gentlemen, at this time I'd like to welcome to Takedown, as well as back to XWA, one of the true legends in Wormen's Wrestling, Alundra Jade. Now Alundra, the last time we saw you here in XWA, you were pretty much taken out of action. I guess the 1st question is ask is simple, how are you feeling?
I'm feeling fine, Fabiola. A concussion & four broken ribs isn't enough to keep me away for to long. I went back home to Japan to recuperate and re-focus on my mission in XWA. A mission that ends with the Diamond Title around my waist.
Well, two weeks after the assault that sidelined you for two months, someone claimed responsibility for the attack. We all had figured it was your long time rival Helena Troy, but it was Lakoda Rose who ambushed you. Lakoda Rose, who has split time competing here in XWA and in NEO Joshi Wrestling.
Truth be told, it happened so fast that I didn't even see who it was. But while I sat home, I watched as she sauntered out to the ring and said she was the one who did it. And you know Fabiola? It kinda' doesn't surprise me. Lakoda Rose is a woman who's stock still continues to rise in wrestling. She's been in the business for how many years now? Three or four, something like that. She's an impressive physical specimen. She's got power, speed, agility and technique. Dare I say she's one of the most complete talents not just in Women's wrestling, but in wrestling in general. She needed to do something to turn heads. To make people take notice of her, be it here or in Japan where she's enjoyed a bulk of her success. And that's what she did when she attacked me. But she made one fatal mistake. And that mistake is she didn't make sure I wouldn't get up. A mistake that's going to cost Lakoda...dearly.
The crowd cheers the prospect of Alundra's potential payback.
So, does this mean you're getting back into the ring?
That's exactly what it means, Fabiola. I know that Lakoda's still in Japan right now. But in three weeks time, at Only The Strong, she's going to have to answer for what she did. And believe me when I say this, answer for it she will. If it was my attention she wanted to grab two months ago, she's got my undivided attention now. I've been doing this for a long time. Longer then any other woman on roster. Longer then most of the females in the business period. And if there's one thing I've learned in all my years in this sport, it's that you never miss an opportunity when it presents itself. Lakoda didn't miss hers. At Only The Strong, I won't miss mine.
Alundra gives a nod of her head and walks off from the interview area as Takedown, live from the O2 Arena in London, goes to commercial.
