Overload returns back to the ring following a backstage segment, where Bryan Jasta stands alone in the center of it. Boos hail down upon him from the London fans, as even "across the pond" his reputation as a merciless tyrant proceeded him. With a mic already in hand, the stoic Jasta raises it to his lips to speak.
There's a saying we have back in the United States. "Like lambs lead to the slaughter." It's a phrase typically coined when a superior force lies in wait for a lesser one, with intent to complete eradicate it. Such has been the case between myself and Osh Vaughn the last few months. I've beaten him. I'm battered him. I've bloodied him. I've even gone as far as dragging his daughter into things. A lesser man would have cracked. But it's obvious that Osh Vaughn is no lesser man, which is to be expected. I mean, he is a veteran of well over 18 years. At Ring Rage, Osh Vaughn fought me with such intensity, such vigor. Maybe because it was having Camden in his corner, maybe it was because his daughter Tiffany was watching intently in the back, but Vaughn turned it up a notch, mirroring the performance when he defeated me a 1st blood match months ago. The problem is...this time he didn't defeat me.
Jasta grins as the boos intensify. He then adds...
Part of the reason why I'm regarded one of the best in the world, is because I unlike most of the idiots in XWA, learn from my defeats. Which come few and far between. FIVE men in the last three years have ever defeated me. Five times since I joined XWA's roster have I ever been beaten. And each time, I grow stronger. Because I adapt. Because when the moment comes that someone's actually able to match me in this ring, I know the time has come for me to raise my bar. I'm the measuring stick of this company. The man that no man in their right frame of mind dare stand in the ring against. I am the answer...to the question...of "What is the definition of dominance?" Vaughn, you need to face the fact that your time has come and gone. To face the fact that you plateaued years ago, whereas I...even now...still grow stronger. You gave me your best at Ring Rage, my friend. But your best...wasn't good enough. And it may never be again. Which is the reason why the next time you and I meet in this ring one on one, might be the very last time you step into a ring ever. Because at Only The Strong, it's going to be you and I, in a LAST MAN STANDING match. And when I'm done with you, Osh...standing might be something you find very difficult to do for the rest of your god given life.
Willy: That's kinda ominous, man.
Tony: That MAN is ominous.
However, tonight...I've got something different in mind. Tonight, I want to make sport of you and your new friend Mr. Shane Camden. So tonight, I'm challenging the two of you to a Tag Team match, against myself...and my protege. So what will it be, gentlemen?
Tony: Protege? What the hell? Jasta has a...student?
Willy: All of a sudden, I'm really not likin' the way this is shapin' up.
Jasta turns to the set and waits for the arrival of Vaughn & Camden.
