Quoted from: gamingring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=94434"The answer is yes, abilities for Superstars and CAS' can be set freely within Create A Move-Set and Superstar Management. *Some of the lesser powerered abilities will be available at the outset for CAS characters but in order to earn the more powerful abilities (Resiliency, Kip-Up, etc) you'll have to earn them by increasing certain individual attribute ratings" Bout fucking time they brought that back...I can deal with earning them first.

Just as long as it's not time consuming.

Not if you use my planned method of farming caws. Remember, they earn attributes in any game mode, whether you're controlling them or the AI is. So you can put 2 caws against each other set as controller 1 and 2, and just take turns beating the hell out of each other. Choose which one you want to win the match, win it, and both caws will rake in attributes, because as Cory said you earn more of them when you're actually playing as the caw. It's safe to say, this is going to speed up the process of roster building DRASTICALLY since I won't have to worry about abilities when I build my templates.
I officially know everything I care to know about the game.

Now I'm fully convinced to go buy the game the day it comes out. That makes it a hell of a lot easier.

Hopefully they'll tell us how to unlock them as well. Good news for all of us who make caws in bulk, and a nice find to TK.

Individual attribute settings. Which can only mean that yuo would need to hit a certain number on an attribute to unlock it.

Now I'm fully convinced to go buy the game the day it comes out. That makes it a hell of a lot easier. Easier would be having everything available out of the box, but they have to make us actually play the game somehow, lol. We already have a preliminary system set up for stat assignment for XWA version CAWS. Once it's reviewed by all the staff, it will be the first "law" of the 2010 season.

Word is you have to unlock each of the upper tier abilities individually for each caw. If they're unlocked by reaching a certain plateau in stats, this might mean people will have to go beyond the point they might want to go for an individual caw. Like say Milo for example, who's an excellent Striker similar to RVD. Naturally one of the abilities I'm shooting for to have him use is Strong Strike, which you can probably guess won't be available out of the box, and will require a decent STR level to attain. This means I'd end up having to make Milo stronger then he actually is just to get it. On the other side of the coin, you could just do like Oz stated in the other thread and just farm a female and male caw, unlock all of the abilities, and just copy them to make the rest of your roster. Problem is you can imagine you'd need to be at least 90 Overall to successful unlock all abilities for selection for a caw, which would clearly exceed the 82 Overall you mentioned in the other thread, Th33x. Of course I could be wrong and it might now be the case at all. We won't know for sure until we see how it all works in person.

Depending on what the threshold is for whatever specific stats needed to unlock the "big" abilities, we've already taken into account that the OVR rating for CAWS in general may be higher than an 82. It's just a matter of finding out what that threshold is and balancing every other stat accordingly so as to give everyone variety while still keeping things even.
That's probably going to be the most challenging thing to do looking ahead to the off-season.
