All eyes in the Time Warner Cable Arena turn to the stage as the entrance theme of Scott O'Dell hit the PA.
Willy:This is it. The night we finally find out who tha' hell O'Dell's been talkin' about to join the ranks of Upper Echelon.
O'Dell calmly makes his way down to the ring. He was all smiles, as if he'd won the lottery as he climbs the ring steps. He enters the ring and with a cool, collected gesture, calls for a mic.
For the last three weeks, I've talked about a new addition to the brotherhood of Upper Echelon. And as promised, tonight I deliver. Tonight, a new member joins the fold. A man who fits the mold of what it truly means to be "Upper Echelon". He's a man who has seen nothing but success here in XWA. A man who has been a champion. A man who has bled for this company, and what has he got in return? Passed over by XWA Management for flash in the pan posers who...
He holds out the mic and taps the head a few times.
...are better at talking into one of these then they are doing what needs to be done between these ropes. A man who as I said three weeks ago, I and Ryan Fierhart both have a past with. He's a man I've faced in this very ring on several occasions. Stan O'Malley has it slated that this man team with me against you and anyone you want to bring to the ring, Ryan. But in just a few minutes time, no person on the planet is going to have the nerve to stand by your side tonight. Ladies and gentlemen, without further delay...the newest member of Upper Echelon...I give you...
As he points to the entrance, nothing happens. No music. No pyro. Nothing.
That's right. He's already wrestling tonight. Damn.
He snaps his fingers as the fans boo.
I guess that means you're lil' match idea for tonight is up in smoke now isn't it, Stan? And what's worse for you? Well...I've got this lil' clause in my contract that states in the event I'm booked in a Tag Team match, and my partner whomever they may be is unable to contractually compete, I'm exempt from competing as well. DOH!!!
Scott begins to laugh out loud as the boos intensify. But he was soon to be joined by the GM to settle the matter at hand.
