Fabiola: I'm standing here with Helena Troy, who later tonight will be competing against Jenna Slade for the XWA Pearl Title. Helena, last week you managed to defeat Jenna in a match were, well...let's be honest, the champion caught you off guard.
What an astute observation, Fabiola. Looks like you do have a brain rattlin' around that pretty lil' head of yours. I might have taken Jenna Slade's in ring ability lightly, I'll admit it. But in the end, I ended up winning the match. It doesn't matter if it's total domination or by the skin of your teeth, it's pinning your opponents shoulders to the mat for 3 seconds that's the deciding factor. Last week, that's what I set out to do, and I did it.
Well Helena, tonight it's not going to be a "tune up". It's the real thing. Do you feel confident going into tonight's title match?
You know, I really hate when people call it "tune up" matches. Because that implies that one's not prepared. I'm ALWAYS prepared. It's called being a "professional". And when last I checked this was "professional" wrestling. Answer me this, Fabiola. Do you feel confident when the camera comes on, and you have to stand here and ask us the "tough" questions?
Well...it's what I'm paid to do, so I guess there's a bit of confidence that goes with it.
And there lies your answer. This is what I do. I'm a wrestler. I was reared to be a wrestler since the day I took my 1st steps. There's not a night I'm not confident going into a match, whether it's an exhibition or a title match. Whether it's a match I can't possibly lose or a match I have no chance on winning. I'm confident none the less. Tonight is no different. There's a job to be done. And that job is beating Jenna Slade in the middle of the ring again, and claiming the Pearl Title not just for myself, but for The Black Diamonds. And just like you take pride in doing your job well, I plan on doing mine well as well. Can Jenna do hers better tonight?
We'll just have to wait and see now, won't we?
Helena shoots Fabiola her typical semi-creepy glance before leaving the interview area.
A focused Helena Troy. We'll indeed see if she can make good on winning the Pearl Title. We'll here from the champion Jenna Slade later tonight, but for now...let's send back to ringside.
