Moving On (Khryst/o2a)

[Osiris]

The show comes back from a commercial of one of XWA's many sponsors, to see Osiris standing in the ring with a mic already in hand.

Osiris: For the first time in our encounters, I lost to the man that is known as Khryst. But here is the thing about facing off with him. I've made him bleed, I've kept him down for the three count, and best of all I've made him tap out. So in not only my mind, but in many minds, I am still the better man. He may have won the last battle, but the war has certainly gone to me. But if he wants to come out and fight me again, fine. I'm ready to do this again. Or if anyone else decides that they want to step up against me, then let them come on down.

[Jeremy Pendelton III]

Suddenly, the sound of Alice In Chains' "Angry Chair" begins to play over the PA system. Out from the back walks young Jeremy Pendelton with the confidence and swagger that he's been known for since his debut in the XWA. Not at all the person that anyone had expected to come out to respond to this open challenge, but he has nonetheless.

He steps inside of the ring.

Now, some of you may be wondering where it is that I've been, and some might be wondering still why it is that I have this briefcase with me again. You see, the last time I stood in this ring was when I declared the "Pendelton Invitational" and was beaten.

Hmph...but despite that, thanks to the "assistance" of others, I managed to still protect my investment. For some people, it doesn't take much for you to get them to get you what you want. Now that I have it, here is what I plan to do with it...

Jeremy tosses the case clear out of the ring. It breaks open to reveal that it was empty.

The money is back where it belongs, and no other person need worry about it. I'm what needs to be worried about now. I'm done being "cute". I'm done playing games. From this point on, I want more, and I'm deadly serious about getting it. The last few weeks it seems that the issue and the motivation for a lot of people is being TakeDown's best, or "big deal", or whatever.

That man stands in this ring right now and goes by the name of ME...because right from the start I told each and every one of you that I am, and I will remain the "head of the class of 2009". I don't need any lucky breaks. I don't need any 10 minutes promos of bragging. All that I need is to stand in this ring against any other man in this company, and for the timekeeper to ring the bell. Everything else will play out accordingly.

Now Osiris, you say you've won a war. Can you be that blind? I suppose that you must've thought to you beating Khryst as many times was going to boost your notoriety around here, hmm? You think beating another man more than once makes you better than him? What makes a man better my friend is when he's beaten and rises back up to fight again.

He paces around the ring now.

You don't know the meaning of the word "superiority"...but I'm just the man to show you. That's because tonight, I have more than just a simple "war" on my mind. I have a mission. That mission is to take my place amongst the top tier of the XWA. I will not bide my time. I will not pick my spots and I will not sit idle and wait for the opportunity that I can just as easily take whenever I choose to.

Beginning tonight, I stake my claim. You may not be the first, or the last, but you are the next...and quite frankly...that's about all that I need.

[lash]

*Heh heh hehhehehehehehehe*

Following his menacing laugh, the visage of Khryst appears on the Jumbotron.

You're the better man? The clear winner of the war? Is this what I'm hearing from you? My poor, poor mislead friend. You just don't get it do you? Do you really think that breaking my bones or spilling my blood actually means you've won you the war? My friend, I see that I'm finally going to have to give you your righteous end this night. I've allowed you to believe that you're actually capable of what you've done thus far, in an attempt to lull you to become more then a mere man. But your words are that of the words of one of these poor, foolish sheep. Words that speak as if victory is the end all of everything. You can beat me thousands of times. The fact that I remain in your mind despite that says that I'm the one who is the ultimate victor. I'll allow you to stand steadfast against another this night, fool. But if you think that mere wins and losses win you the war, oh what joyous suffering you have in store.

So it is written. So it shall pass.

With that, his image vanishes from view.

[Osiris]

Osiris: We shall see Khryst, we shall see.

He then turns his attention to the person that was standing in the ring with him.

Osiris: Alright, let's see what we got here. Giant ego, check. Thinks he knows better then me, check. Complete and udder hypocrite, check. So what we have here standing before me is what we call an asshole looking to make a name for himself. And he certainly does need to do that, because I don't even know who he is. You know, for someone who doesn't need 10 minutes of promo for bragging, you certainly do talk a lot. You know what? Let's just get this over with, because the sooner I beat the shit out of you, the sooner I'll get to shut you up.

[Jeremy Pendelton III]

Hmph...do you even know what a hypocrite is, Osiris? The one thing that I hate more than anything else is a man who thinks that he knows what he's talking about. You my good man don't have so much as a clue, especially if you think that you have what it takes to "shut me up".

Jeremy smirks at Osiris' comment.

But, if you just want to get straight to business then, that's all well and good to me. I just hope that your victories in the last few weeks have been because you're good and not because you're lucky...because you can bank on this...if I find a weakness, if I find a hole, you're as good as gone.

As he says this, he makes the universal "throat slit" motion.

Tonight, I'm not making an example of you Osiris, because this here isn't about you. Tonight, I set the example...and all of the XWA will know exactly who they're dealing with. So you don't know me, huh? Expected since obviously you live in your little fantasy world. After tonight though Osiris, you will. Oh yes, I guarantee you will.

He tosses his mic to the mat after that's said, stepping out of the ring with an exuberant confidence that's predicated by the grin on his face as his theme plays again.

Matt: Jeremy Pendelton's setting his goals high, isn't he partner? I tend to think that he might also be setting himself up for a big fall if he can't live up to his ambitions.

Buzz: The man's confident in his abilities! This guy's a winner Goldie! You'll see tonight, he's going to run a clinic on Osiris...just you watch.

Matt: They go at it one-on-one later tonight.
