Pressure Cooker (Ina & Bull)

Ashley Diamond's theme hits the PA system, and the Carolina wrestling fans give XWA's 1st lady a standing ovation. As she walks out from backstage, already in full ring gear for tonight's contest, she waves to her adoring fans. She was all smiles despite the result of her last match, a losing effort against the woman she'd face again tonight Bull Nagano. This time with the XWA Onyx Title on the line.

Goldman: Ashley looks focused and ready for the task at hand tonight. And what a task it is.

Tony: I'd say having to face Bull Nagano in a Title match counts as a task and a half actually, Matt.

Buzz: I couldn't have said it better myself.

Ashley enters the ring, and a mic is provided to her. As the crowd continues to cheer, she speaks.

One week ago at the Takedown Supershow, I lost to Bull Nagano...fair and square. But...I also beat Bull Nagano that night as well. I know what you all are saying..."How on Earth does that work?" I'll tell you how. It's something that you all saw, but probably paid no mind to. It took Nagano a few of her best...and I mean best moves to keep me down. And when she hit those moves, I kept coming. And when I did, she got frustrated. The cold and calculating dominant Diamond showed she's human after all. But then, then she showed me something that none of you saw. Not the ref, not Ina at ringside, not the camera crew, not the people in the front row...no one. It's something I got to see all by myself. She showed me doubt in her eyes. For a moment, a few fleeting seconds in time, she was scared. She feared that as hard as she brought it last week, she might not be able to beat me. And that's realistically all the victory I needed.

Marisol beat you the 1st time you faced her, yes. But she failed to get in your head, Nagano. She did what you do, go all out and leave it in the ring. She brawled with you, and fought your style match. And the 1st time, she got the better of you. But the 2nd and 3rd times, you made your adjustments and you prevailed. Because you weren't afraid of her. You and Ina were able to form a game plan as to how to give you the in ring advantage, and you played it perfectly. Last week though, your gameplan worked to a tee as well. But that's the thing. You had a game plan last week, and I didn't. I simply came out and wrestled to test your threshold. And your gameplan was just barely good enough to best me. Tonight? I've got a gameplan of my own. And tonight, if you wrestle me the way you did last week, Nagano? You're going to lo...

Before she could continue any further, the entrance theme of the Oynx Champion cues up.

The duo of Ina & Bull emerge from backstage. Ina, already with a mic in hand, cuts into their theme music with her words.

Is "You're going to lose" what you were just about to say? Awful big talk from someone who lost last week. But I'd expect nothing less of someone like you to try and turn a positive to a negative. But whatever these illusions you claim you saw of seeing fear in Nagano-San's eyes are un substantiated. She fears no one. No force on Earth is capable o...

Turn about equaled fair play, as this time Ashley would cut Ina off.

With her mic raised to speak yet again, Ashley says...

Will you please just shut the HELL up!

The sudden forcefulness of Ashley evokes a thunderous cheer from the fans.

The woman standing next to you Ina is far from invincible. In fact, I can stand here right now and tell you what her biggest weakness. The one chink in her armor that no matter how well she does in this ring, will hold her back out of it. YOU. Spewing your propaganda about how she's the strongest force in women's wrestling. That Ina, is what's impossible. Because I'm still breathing. And until she, or someone else manages to come along and not only beat me, but take me out of the game completely, you're looking at the strongest force in women's wrestling right here, right now. I haven't met a challenge yet in my career I haven't been able to overcome. And tonight is no different. I have nothing to prove tonight, she does. That's the reason you challenged me in the 1st place, right? To validate Bull as being the most dominant Diamond in XWA. And she already very well may be just that. She's won the most matches out of all of us this year, she's lost the least. BUt being the most dominant doesn't make you the best. It just means you're the best "right now". The difference is...I'm the best "all time". That's what Bull's facing tonight. And when she does, the only force on Earth that's going to help her, is her own.

Ina's eyes widen in shock at Ashley's sudden show of brazen disregard.

How DARE you speak to us like that! How dare you speak to ME like that!!! We have nothing to prove to you Gaijin. Nagano-San is the champion. Nagano-San has already defeated you. She stands as the better competitor right now. And she will demonstrate why that holds true yet again tonight, when she breaks you in two! And when she does, I'll be sure to stomp on whatever is left of you.

[ashley]

Ashley gives an uncharacteristic smirk before responding.

Really? Why wait then. Come your bony lil' ass down to the ring and try it right now.

The reaction from the fans was deafening.

Buzz: OOOOOOOOOOOh man!!! We haven't seen Ashley this fired up in a while. When Ashley Diamond gets pissed, people's asses kicks kicked. Ina might wanna check her pride at the door.

Ashley lowers her mic, and with her free hand motions for Ina to "bring it."

Totally irate at that point, Ina throws her mic down to the ground. She prepares to storm down to the ring, but Bull grabs her by the arm and stops her. Ina tries to fight herself loose, but gives up with only a minor struggle. After Bull finally lets go, she picks the mic up again for a final retort and says;

You'll regret ever insulting me, Diamond. Consider that a promise.

Ina the storms off the stage. Bull shoots a focused gaze down to Ashley in the ring before following Ina soon after.

The scene cuts back to a shot of Ashley in the ring, as the announce team weighs in.

Tony: If it were just a matter of winning the mental battle, Ashley would already have things well in hand. But can she put it together and beat Bull in the physical battle is what remains to be seen.

Goldman: The greats have a way of shifting momentum to their own side, even when they're at the disadvantage though, and that's what she's done tonight. She's managed to to take both Ina and Bull off their games.

Buzz: Or has she? This might have just fired them up even more. In any case, this might be one of the most hotly contested and anticipated Diamond matches of all time.

With a final shot of Ashley now exiting the ring, Ring Rage transitions into it's next segment.
