As the Ring Rage event continued on, backstage in the interview area, Fabiola had a very special guest.
Fab: Ladies and gentlemen, it gives me great pleasure to welcome my guest at this time...the XWA World Champion, Syrus The Entertainer!
And he walks in to a huge pop from the fans, the title belt draped over his shoulder and a smile on his face.
Fab: Syrus, since winning the title at XGAMES2, you've faced challenge after challenge and managed to come out on top. Tonight, you're biggest challenge comes forth in the form of The Crucible. What is on your mind as you go into this match?
Somethin' has been on my mind Fabby, ever since I actually stopped to realize it. Tonight's match doesn't exactly favor anyone who's in it. Now, you have matches like this all the time where they say "the champ is at a disadvantage" but tonight...everyone who walks in has a disadvantage. It's all gonna come down to who does the right things at the right time, and you know what? That might be me, it might be someone else...there's no way to tell.
Fab: So, let's say that you don't win tonight. Let's say that someone else walks out of Ring Rage as the new champion. Will you declare a rematch?
Y'know...I haven't really thought of that yet. I've got some options in front of me if that happens. We'll see what happens tonight and then I'll go from there.
Fab: What's your gameplan going into this match? Is there any real gameplan to have?
Just go in, hit hard and make sure you take advantage of every opportunity you see. If someone doesn't get a chance to pin, you make sure you do. Seen it work in the past, pretty sure it'll work here.
Fab: Last question then, Syrus. You're going to be up against a lot of guys who haven't had this big of an opportunity in the XWA to date. What does that mean to you?
It means that every other dude in this match is coming in real hungry. We're just gonna have to see who wants it more, and who's willing to go harder to get it. Imma tell you one thing right now though, Syrus likes to eat. That's all that they really need to know.
