I thought he was going into MMA after he was done in ROH. Go figure. Sad part is that he won't be "The American Dragon" in WWE. You know he ain't lettin' them copyright that.

We'll see about that... WWE does have that habit of 'dropping the ball' with good talent. Plus coming from another fed... big or small, WWE likes to bury them, too. Here is hoping they don't...

I know, but he'll still be awesome. With HBK, Regal, Sydal, Johnny Ace, and JR on his side I think he will get a pretty sizable hype on his debut though.

As far as backstage affairs go in WWE...behind the scenes stuff, when you have JR in your hop pocket, you're as good as gold. And seeing as, like Vault pointed out...he's trained under HBK and William Regal, that's even more credibility, and guys already "over" that will ensure he doesn't get screwed over. His I actually think will be one of the more successful transitions into WWE.

Yeah i think this one could work. Punk has done well without too much political clout, he's managed on ability. Danielson can certainly get himself over as well as punk on that front, and he has the backstage support to not get buried. Ther should be some awesome matches out of this;
Danielson vs jericho, punk, Swagger, HBK,
...yes please!

I have a feeling that they'll put him in on ECW for starters, then move him over to either RAW or SD the same way they did with Swagger and Sydal/Bourne. All in all, WWE has been a lot better with the younger, indy-bred talents that they have signed, though I still think they really messed up royally with Colt Cabana. He's one of my favorites and I don't think he was given anything close to the opportunity to show what he did in WWE's territories and ROH when he was called up to the "Bigs".
Back to Danielson though, I'm excited to see what WWE does with him. He doesn't need much in the way of "development", but maybe they have him in FCW for a month or two to touch up on his mic skills, because that's as big in terms of WWE as your ring skills are. After that, he's money in the bank. One of the best technicians in sports entertainment, like a young Dean Malenko with kung-fu grip. Can't wait to see him on the "grand stage".

Haven't been too impressed with his interviews on the HDnet tapings...
