(This segment of TakeDown takes place before Ryan Blaze makes a surprise visit to the show.)
After a match concludes, Fabiola appears backstage in the office of the GM regarding another big announcement regarding Ring Rage.
Fabiola: I'm back here with General Manager Mike Roach, and you have some news regarding the Crucibal match at Ring Rage for the XWA World Championship.
That's right. On Overload, Stan O'Malley made the announcement of this new match that will feature stars from both brands, and suddenly it went from being a 4 Man match to a 6 Man. Still, the question the entire week was "who's going to be in it from Takedown?" Well obviously, the champ will make an appearance, and I think that this kind of a challenge will be right up his ally...nothing short of the huge challenges he's had to overcome so far as the XWA World Champ. But who's going in with him?
Fab: Well...who?
After a lot of deliberating, I decided to go with two guys who have slowly and kind of quietly paid their dues here in the XWA. There's a lot of guys...a LOT...who like to make waves, but this time around I'm giving the chance to two guys who have been a little "under the radar" for a while now in the XWA. Two guys who also have a lot of history with each other to those who have followed their careers. Those gentlemen are going to be Tommy Tryton & Jeff Heaven.
A pop could be heard all the way out in the crowd of course.
Fab: Well, those are definitely a couple of "sleepers" in many people's eyes.
And that's exactly why they're perfect for this match. It will be Jeff Heaven's first title match in the XWA if I'm not mistaken...I could be wrong. But either way, what better way for either of these guys to be put into the spotlight than to be in the main event against a group of equally talented and entertaining superstars for the richest prize in wrestling today? Matches like this are all about one thing: opportunity. All it takes is for a person to seize when it comes their way and just like that, they become the names that everyone talks about. At Ring Rage, one of the five challengers has the chance to become that name, and the champ has the chance to be talked about even more!
Now, that's not all folks. The tip of the proverbial iceberg is that tonight Heaven and Tryton will ignite some "old flames" so to speak, because I'm putting the both of them in a one-on-one preview match!
Fab: That's getting reacquainted in an interesting way.
Yep. so gentlemen...congratulations, good luck tonight, and good luck in Charlotte!
With that, the next segment begins...
(Open to promos from either principle)
