Oddly enough, the theme song belonging to Ryan Blaze hits the P.A. system. The crowd was in a state of confusion due to the music. Ryan, an Overload superstar, appearing on Takedown? Why? What business did he have on Takedown? It would soon be known, as Ryan had made his way onto the stage. Dressed in his regular casual clothing, with an XWA Ring Rage promotional t-shirt, a Ryan Blaze hoodie, and his regular faded jeans, Ryan didn't look ready to fight. At the moment, he looked ready to get a piece off of his chest. He makes his way up the ring steps, almost hoping up onto each one, and climbs into the ring. He calls for a mic, receives, and brings it up to his lips.
Ladies and Gentlemen... WELCOME TO XWA LIVE!!
Buzz: I do believe Ryan's lost ladies and gentlemen..
Goldman: Give him a chance, Buzz. Ryan might have business here. Remember, he's going to take part of the main event at Ring Rage.
What a show it's going to be, folks. My lord, my lord, myyyy looooord. Actually, that's bull. I don't know what goes on here on Takedown? Why should I? As far as I know, every other match could suck ass.
Listen, though, because it will be a good show when you hear this one.. Ladies, gentlemen, children, animals watching from home... Tonight, I've got some business with ONE of the Takedown superstars. One, and only one. Someone who.. "entertains"..
Instant pop to wards the reference of the reigning World Champion, Syrus The Entertainer.
See, I couldn't make the show on Overload. I had to go back to California for a week to deal with some family issues, and I missed that card. That's all groovy, because as far as I'm concerned, TAKEDOWN HAS MATCHES! So, I figured "Why the hell not" and decided to come here for a week.
So, here's the deal, I know you, the fans, are looking for some Grade A action, and I'll give you just that with the match this week. This match is something that Takedown is known for, and something I was actually pretty decent in the past. Tonight, I'm challenging the reigning world champion, Syrus, to a PURE RULES MATCH! It'll be Ryan Blaze against Syrus, with no special rules, no extras, just us, the ring, and the ropes to keep us in that ring.
Syrus, I know you're one that won't turn down a challenge.. Especially from someone you'll be facing in a few weeks time. So, get your ass out here, accept, so we can hit the back, go to our locker rooms, lace up our god damn boots, and get this bad boy rolling.
I'm waiting, Champ.
Ryan smirks, as he waits for the classic beginning to Syrus' theme....

CAN YOU DIG IT? CAN YOU DIG IT!!??
Right on cue, the sound of Syrus' theme begins to play and the croed gets to their feet. Matt: And heeeeeeere he comes! The still reigning World Champion after what had to be partner, the biggest comeback victory in XWA history.
Buzz: Well yeah...it was for the World Title so that just makes it bigger by default. Scott O'Dell was in total control, but once again STE showed that heart and intestinal and testicular fortitude that got him past Magnus at Madness, and cuz of that...he's still got the strap. All smiles is the champ as he walks the walk down the aisle, high fiving fans with one hand as the other had the coveted title in it's grasp. The purple suit wearing champion steps into the ring where both a mic and a surprise guest waits for him. He looks around to the screaming fans chanting his name and pauses for a moment to take it all in before he addresses them and Ryan Blaze. So...I get off the plane here in "Cacka-Lacky" and I get a call from the head man Mike Roach telling me that I'm staying right here on TakeDown as opposed to being on Overload. I'm like...OK. I mean, ya'll here on the flagship deserve the very best...anything's better than another snore fest by Robby Sylk right? That got some chuckles from the Carolina crowd. Anyway, I don't have time for a victory lap tonight after defending this here title against Scotty-Boy at SS...because now I've got a bigger challenge ahead of me. Imma be real with ya'll, this Crucibal thingie that's about to go down at Ring Rage is not the kind of match that favors the man that holds the belt. You take the odds of having 6 men in that ring, then the odds of which of them scores the most falls in the time limit and yeah...you can say that I'm facing an uphill battle here.
But, ain't that how it's always been?He pauses as the fans cheer again. I haven't had this belt as long as some people...but I've sure as hell been in some wars so far since I've won it! There ain't nobody now who can say that I'm not a fighting champion, and sure as hell ain't nobody who can say that Syrus is just an "entertainer". I mean...even though I do love to put on a show, there ain't nobody who's gonna put it down when the bell rings harder than me, and that's something right there that you Ryan Blaze and the other four guys along with you better recognize!Syrus nods. His focus then goes totally now on the Overload star and his challenge. You're out here cuz you want to have a Pure Rules match against yours truly. Well, I can't leave you hanging since you did come all this way. I've had a little success in Pure matches myself now and then, beat one of the guys who a lotta people say is one of the best Pure competitors in the XWA back in March for this strap, so I'm coming in feelin' good about my chances tonight.
This is gonna be our first dance Blaze. Looks like we're gonna get the chance to give all these Tarheels (cheap pop) another five-star classic. You can't expect anything less when it's me in the ring! I'm looking forward to this...
