1…2…3! And it was over.
Dynamite’s Pure title reign had lasted less than a month, and he hadn’t even successfully defended it. He lay in the ring for a moment, his head throbbing, before rolling out of the ring and walking slowly backstage. Emma Croft met him behind the curtain but she knew better than to talk to him now. At moments like this even Dynamite had no words to say. Surprising as it may seem, considering his record, he didn’t take losing well. Unfortunately no one told Joe Beakman,
Wait Chris Dynamite, hey! Can I get a word?
Dynamite turns slowly to face the reporter, the look on his face should have told Joe what sort of mood he was in
WHAT? Why in the blue hell should I wan to talk to you?!
Well I’m here reporting on the scene, and I just wanted to get your thoughts on your huge loss to Blade tonight[/b]
My thoughts? My thoughts Joe?! Oh I’m freaking ecstatic. Yeah this is what I live for, big match losses, and talking to slimy weasels’ like you. I just lost the Pure Title, how the hell do you think I feel?
Well there are going to be those, again, who question whether you belong here. I mean this is one more on a laundr…
Dynamite grabs Beakman by the collar and shoves him away. Pinning the reporter against the wall he snatches the mic,
You know what Joe, it seems to me that each time I meet you you’re asking the same damn questions. Do you have nothing better to do than come round here counting up my losses?! And what the hell do you know about being in the ring huh? How many matches have you won? How d’ya think you’d do against Blade?! Let me tell you Beak-Man, you’d get your fat ass handed to you in record f*cking time! In fact maybe that’s what I should do here and now, how about that?
Dynamite lets go of Beakman and steps away, before moving back in as if to hit him. The reporter cowers away, as Dynamite stops inches in front of him and scowls at him,
You know what’s saving you at the moment Joe? The same thing that has saved you all your life, you’re too stupid to be worth hurting. Kicking your sorry ass up and down this hall wouldn’t achieve anything for me, so I’m not going to waste my time. As far as tonight goes, if you think I’m going to roll over and die you have another think coming. This is not over, not by a long damn shot. I will rise up from this like some kind of wrestling Phoenix; count me down but I am certainly not out. Blade won a title tonight, but am I bloodied? Nope, am I broken? Hell no. Take a look Joe, because this is the future, and I am just getting started! [Dynamite starts to walk away before turning to Joe once more] Oh, and don’t ever stop when I’m walking again!
Dynamite throws the mic at Joe and walks away. The reporter straightens himself up a bit, picks up his mic, and grabs Emma Croft’s arm
Hey, I was wondering if…
Ewwww! Don’t touch me, I don’t know where you’ve been! And whatever it is; no. No I don’t want anything to do with you, or your questions. I don’t talk to [she looks him up and down people like you!
With a flick of her hair she follows Dynamite down the hall.
