Tony: Earlier this week I had the chance to speak one on one with on of the true legends of this industry, Osh Vaughn. A man who has been through countless battles in his illustrious 15 year career in wrestling, but at Soul Survivor will face the greatest challenge he'll ever have in "The Spartan" Bryan Jasta in the most vile, vicious and brutal match XWA has ever showcased, a match that Jasta himself innovated...The Hell Asylum. But as you'll see in this interview, there's more to this rivalry then meets the eye.

Osh, I want to thank you for allowing us into your home for this interview. Obviously there's a lot on your plate going into your match with Bryan Jasta, so it's quite natural that you opted to take this week off knowing that well...your next match might be your last. I have to ask, Osh...it's been on the minds of the entire wrestling world. Why do this? Why face Jasta in the barbaric Hell Asylum?
Why? Because in 15 years in this business I've never yielded or backed down from any challenge. That's why. I've gone up against men who have far better skill sets then I have, yet I'm still wrestling, and most of them aren't anymore. I'm a survivor, Tony. I've built my career on being able to dig deeper then the next guy. On making it so that the man standing across the ring stares in wonder saying to himself "what the hell do I have to do to beat him?" That's why. Jasta's one of, if not the most feared man in XWA, dare I say in wrestling today. He's a career killer. An absolute monster in every sense of the word. But monsters get slain eventually. And I'm gonna be the man to slay Jasta.
Well, in your last match against him, he managed to defeat you, and as such his stipulation into the Hell Asylum match is in fact true to the terms of the contract. As I remember he said and I quote "When I defeat you, I want her." The question is...who is she? And why were you on such a defensive about her involvement?
*Sigh* I knew that was coming. Who "she" is...is my daughter. My 22 year old daughter Tiffany. My ONLY daughter. Ever since she was a baby, she's always wanted to be like her dad. She grew up on the road with me since her mother passed away when she was 4. She's been the one thing that has kept me going more so then anything. My inspiration and my motivation. 2 years ago, she officially began her pro-wrestling career right here in the Mid-West for MWWF, the same organization I started my career in. I taught her everything I know, plus she's spent plenty of time training around the world. And apparently in her travels, she came across Jasta. And Jasta being the sadist he is, wants to use her as leverage to get me to break. But I won't. It'll be a cold day in her before I let him lay a damn finger on her.
So...what does she have to say about all of this?
1st thing she said to me when I talked to her after last week's show was that she was going to be in Chicago with me. She said she wanted to support me in any way she could. Tiffany knows the game. She knows that Jasta's just trying to use her as bait. But I know in order for me to prevent that from happening, I have to step into the Hell Asylum and beat the hell out of him.
Let's switch gears a bit, from Jasta...to the man who's truly at the source of your troubles, Scott O'Dell. Since the start of the season, he's seemingly sicked Jasta on you like a pitbull. But it's clear that the issue between you both is far from resolved.
Youcouldn't be more right, Tony. I haven't forgotten O'Dell's attempts to try and humiliate me. To insult me in every way he could. Then once I get here to XWA, what's he do? He sets Jasta loose on me, perhaps as a means to soften me up for when he and I do lock horns one on one. And we WILL lock horns, bank on that. I don't care how many men I have to go through, or how much blood I have to shed to get my hands around his throat. But I will. And when I do, He's going to wish he never even spoke my name.
If he by chance wins at Soul Survivor, would you rule out making that encounter a World Title challenge?
It'd be the icing on the cake to knock him down a peg and take the World Title off over him to boot, but at this stage of my career, I'm not worried about being a World Champion. I've already held more titles then 70% of the XWA roster combined. For me, this is my last run. My last gig before I call it a career. And I came to XWA to do so, and pass my knowledge on to the next generation of superstars. The guys like Devlin, Ames & Bain. The guys who will carry the torch. But until then, I'm gonna go out there and leave it all in the ring. That's all I know how to do. Now more then ever...I don't get even...I EQUALIZE.
