After a commercial break, the members of COA both stood inside of the ring with mics in their hands. The sound of their theme faded out, replaced by a sea of boos in the arena and both Channelle and Baby were not looking very happy.
I'm out here...we're out here to call down one woman and one woman alone, and that's our illustrious Pearl Champion Amber Gianni!
The boos instantly turned to cheers and howls. Channelle screams over the increase in volume.
AMBER! You've made a fool of me for the last time! I bet you thought you were cute in Iraq, didn't you? Dressing up in camouflage to face me for the Pearl Title? Just who do you think you are anyway?
Rose: It sounds to me like Channelle's plenty pissed...
Lucy: Well, Mayday In Iraq actually marked the second straight time that Amber's beaten Channelle and defended the Pearl Title. I'd be a little ticked off myself as well.
Your fairy tale title reign is going to end, and it's going to end tonight! I'm a former Diamond Champion! COA is everything that the rest of the Diamonds wish they could be. You've gotten pretty damn lucky, Gianni...but tonight it's time to put you in your place! I know you're back there. Get your ass out here, right now!

**"Check Up On It" begins to play in response, and moments after Channelle calls her out, Amber Gianni is on stage to answer. She has a big smile on her face and she shows off the Pearl Title to the crowd in attendance.**
Rose: Well, she is still your Pearl Champion, and I have to say that Amber looks more and more impressive with each and every match.
Lucy: And with each match, she's more and more confident in herself. That's a dangerous thought considering that this IS the pupil of Sarah Warfield we're talking about there.
**She looks down the aisle into the ring at COA and sarcastically waves before she beings to speak into her mic.**
Channelle...might I say that you sound a little bit frustrated. I mean, I really can't blame you for that. Not only did I beat you, I did it twice in two separate defenses of the Pearl Title! If I were you I'd be a little upset myself as well. In fact, I'd be even MORE upset after you hear what I have to say tonight.
Rose: Wonder what?
Tonight Channelle, you and I will NOT be wrestling for the Pearl Title!
Lucy: Whoa! She just refused a challenge! She's not going to face Channelle tonight for the belt?
See, according to the XWA rulebook, if a champion defends their belt three times, they're afforded the same rights as a World or Diamond Champion, in that they can select their challengers as they see fit. So tonight, I say that you've had puhhhhhlenty chances to beat me for this title, and it's time that I give someone else a shot.
That would be you, Jenna.
**Amber then pointed in the direction of Jenna Slade.**
Since late last year, you've had this thing with being the woman who'd supposedly steal all of my fans and draw all of the attention. Well, you'll never actually do that  , but what I will do is give you the chance to win the Pearl Title. So, are you up for that sweetie? Let's see if you can do any better than your girl's done. |

Channelle's eyes literally bugged out of her head when she was abruptly refused by the Pearl Champion.
Excuse me? EXCUSE ME!!?? Did...did you just say no to me? ME!!?? Nobody ever says no to Channelle Valencia, nobody! I think you must have lost your mind or something! I want a match for that title again, and what Channelle wants, Channelle gets!
There was a cold hearted sneer on her face as she waited for Amber's mind to change...and it better.

Oh yeah, and I'm sure she gets as much as she wants too...just not another title shot. You had your chance, Channy...so why not let someone else have a try. Why not Baby...unless you're trying to be the REAL "Center of Attention" that is.

Finally, Jenna raised her mic to speak to Amber, seeing exactly what it was that she was up to.
Oh no you don't Amber. I'm onto your little trick here, and I'm not falling for it! I see what you're trying to do here, egging us on to try and throw a rip into the fabric of COA, but it's not gonna happen. I'll take you on alright, but don't think that you're gonna try to play mind games here. The world is OUR playground, not yours...and if anyone's gonna have some fun tonight, then it may as well be me at your expense.
Baby grins slyly.
Tonight, playtime for you is about to end, "sweetie". |

You think so, huh? I tell you what I think then Jenna...
Amber takes alook at the belt on her shoulder and then looks into the ring again with a smile.
Channelle is a former champ herself, and she wasn't able to get it done. I don't know if you can do any better, but I guess we'll see tonight though, won't we? The only thing I've got to say about that is good luck. You're going to need a whole lot of it tonight!
And that was the end of that. A short exchange of words, and now it would seem that Amber was going to be face to face with yet another on a long list of rivals of hers, both in and out of the ring. Her theme played, and she waved so long to her fans and foes alike, disappearing backstage once more. |
