Backstage at the Vendetta PPV, Fabiola stood by with Jeremy Pendelton. He was still in his street clothes, a nice looking Italian cut suit.
Fabiola: I'm backstage here with Jeremy Pendelton III, and you don't look too happy I must say. Well, I've not seen you actually happy unless you call being cocky happy but...that's not the point.
Jeremy scowls at Fabiola for her not so impartial comments.
What ever happened to unbiased reporting around here? You're lucky you're good looking Fabiola or else I might have had to do something that YOU would have regretted later.
Instead, he grabs the microphone from Fab and aims his deep blue eyes straight to the camera.
The Grandslam Tournament was supposed to have been my moment. That was supposed to have been the night that I sealed the deal on just who really is the head of the class of 2009 in the XWA when I had become the company's first GrandSlam Champ. Instead...I was beaten. King, you and I had easily the best match of the entire tournament...not surprising since this is me we're talking about here.
The problem with that match though wasn't the fact that you actually decided you want to show up and wrestle as oppose to lay down to Ryan Blaze. It wasn't even the fact that you hit me with about 10,000...what does he call those "Cyclone" finishers? Whatever...
It's the fact that you did THIS to me.
And he points to the bandage on his forhead where he was busted open.
That right there is a rather indelible mark you left there King. One that I have every intention on repaying you for here in Tokyo. Nobody sheds my blood without me getting some of theirs in return King, nobody...and I wan't...badder than you can imagine...to replace that silly looking mask of yours with a crimson one!
That's why tonight, I'm challenging you...no...I'm demanding you...to face me in that ring in a FIRST BLOOD match!
And eye for an eye King. Blood for blood, and when it's all said and done I'm going to make certain that yours rains all over Tokyo!
Jeremy hands Fabiola back her microphone.
Thank you Fabiola for another hard-hitting piece of sports journalism.
Taking his leave, he heads back to prepare for the match. All that was left was for King to answer the challenge.
(Open to response from King)
