XWA presents Vendetta returns from a commercial break and the fans quietly wait for what would happen next at the famous Tokyo Dome. Suddenly “The Second Coming” begins to play throughout the arena. The fans all knew who was going to come out as they jumped to their feet and began to cheer. Romeo Davis emerged from backstage with a smile on his face. Snug around his waist was the XWA Pure championship title. He taunted for the fans by raising his arms up in the air. He walked down the ramp and slid into the ring. He immediately mounted the turnbuckle to his right and once again lifted his hands up in the air. He slowly dismounted the turnbuckle and signaled for a microphone. Seconds later he stood in the center of the ring with the microphone raised to his lips.
WHAT UP TOKYO!!??
The crowd erupted after Romeo had asked the question. The fans out in Japan definitely enjoyed where the XWA took their yearly trips to Japan to perform for them all.
I can tell y’all are enjoyin’ the show and are ready for more action to come. Damn, I gotta admit that this has got to be one of my favorite things ‘bout the XWA. I love comin’ out here to the Tokyo Dome and performin’ for all of y’all. I’ve only done it once before but I had such a great experience that I had to do it again. Y’all are truly great and I thank ya’ for comin’ out here tonight for the show.
The crowd begins cheering again. A Romeo chant began as Romeo began to smile. He waited for the chant to die down before speaking out again.
I know y’all heard the announcement earlier ‘bout the champs being able to choose whom they want to challenge ‘em for the title. Now wit’ me there’s a problem. That problem is that I don’t know who to choose to challenge for my Pure title. There are many top competitors on the TakeDown roster that I can’t seem to make my choice. So right now this is what I’m gonna do. I’m settin’ out a challenge to any wrestler on the TakeDown roster for a shot at the Pure title. So who’s gonna be the superstar to try and take the Pure title out of my hands here tonight at Vendetta? Who thinks they are pure and can roll under the pure rules match type? I know that someone out back is lookin’ for a great match just like I am so come on and make you’re way down to the ring. |

As the intro to Saliva's "Ladies & Gentlemen" begins, the fans give a rousing ovation...
Buzz: I know who's theme THAT is. TOMMY TRYTON!!!
Tryton steps out from backstage in full ring attire. The fans roar in cheer as Tryton makes the walk from the Vendetta set to the ring. Give a few high-5s to fans at ringside, Tommy enters the ring and raises his arms high, reveling in the cheers of the Tokyo faithful. Tommy is the supplied a mic of his own. He turns to Davis and speaks.
Who to choose, who to choose. I can imagine that's a dilemma, Romeo. Well, let me make that choice a little easier for you. The Pure Title is a unique title because it takes a different kind of wrestler to compete for it. A fact that you proved painfully obvious when you beat that loud mouth MG's ass from pillar to post at Madness. MG's not the kind of guy who belongs in a Pure contest because let's face it, the joker doesn't have a pure bone in his body. It takes discipline, skill and above all else conditioning to survive under Pure rules. And if you're looking for the total package of all three of those attributes, look no further then Tommy T. The last time you sweated in a match for that Pure Title was when you took it off of MVS last year. Something's wrong with that picture. The level of competition you've faced for that title hasn't been nearly on par with what it should be. Tonight, I plan on changing that. You want competition? You wanna' actually work for your paycheck instead of running through the opposition like you have your last 3 defenses? Then the match needs to be Tommy Tryton Vs. Romeo Davis...for the XWA Pure Title.
Goldman: What a way to make a return back to the ring. Answering the call of the Pure Champion Romeo Davis.
Buzz: But how smart is that? Davis has been in matches consistently week in and week out. We don't know what Tryton's been doing. Granted, he looks in INCREDIBLE shape, but he always does. Has he been training enough during his time away from the ring to be able to step into the unique environment of Pure Rules and actually win? And against the reigning Pure Champion no less?
Goldman: This is the man who came out of nowhere to land a spot in the XGamesII main event. The man who came within an earshot of being 2008 New Sensation Of The Year. The fact that Davis did win the Pure Title was the only deciding factor in that race. Here we have a pair of blue chippers. The future of wrestling. Young, talented and both men eager to leave it all in the ring. I say let's do it!
Tommy rests his mic at his side and waits for Romeo's reply.

Romeo nodded his head as finally there was someone that came down to the ring to challenge for his Pure title. It wasn’t just any superstar either. It was Tommy Tryton who came out of nowhere last year and made a huge impact. This guy brought the muscle to the ring and Romeo knew that he would have his hands full with this matchup. He raised the microphone to his lips and responded to Tommy.
What a pleasure it is to see ya’ back here in the XWA Tommy. You had a hell of a year last year and it’s good that you have returned for more. You are right, the Pure title is a different kind of title cause ya’ gotta be able to last in the match when the title is on the line. It’s now a normal singles match. It’s more of an endurance kinda match cause there are no breaks. Ya’ see my last three defenses they were against good superstars but they just couldn’t last in the ring. Ya’ gotta be able to wrestle to the best of your ability from start to finish. But you Tommy are a different competitor than the others that I’ve faced. I think that you are fit for this match and I think this is gonna be a great match for the fans to see. This match will test us both and will also help us both in the future. The fans out here in Japan wanna see something great and that’s what’s gonna happen tonight. So Tommy, you got your shot at me for the XWA Pure Championship.
The fans erupt after hearing Romeo’s last statement. They were excited for the match and so was Romeo. This was going to be a tough match for Romeo and he knew what he had to do to come out with the victory. He waited to hear from Tommy again. |

Tommy raises his mic yet again to speak a final response.
With that being said, Romeo...these fans, XWA management, and most importantly you...are not in the least bit gonna be disappointed with the performance I put on tonight. Will it be good enough to take the Pure Title off of you? Who knows. But you can five star lock it the fact that you don't have to worry about getting the best I can give in this match, because I always give the best I can give.
Tryton lowers his mic and waits for Romeo's final reply.

Well Tommy I look forward to seein’ ya’ here in this ring later tonight. I can already tell that this is gonna be a great match for these fans to see. Wit’ two competitors puttin’ their all on the line throughout the whole match will show these fans that whatever they paid for the tickets was worth it. So Tommy, I’ll see ya’ later on tonight.
Romeo lowers the microphone as his theme music begins to play. The two competitors have a stare down as the camera fades to black. |
