The ref's hand slammed to the mat the third time and Magnus was unable to raise a shoulder. It was all over at that point, and the explosion from the crowd in MSG could be heard through all 5 boroughs of New York City as the ring announcer made the official call.
"Your winner, and STILL XWA World Champion...SYRUS THE ENTERTAINER!!!"
The referee handed Syrus the coveted title belt which was at least for now still his to call his own. It was no easy feat keeping it that way this night though. Magnus Von Schwartz was as good as he'd ever been in the ring and just like in his two victories prior, he gave Syrus more than enough of a battle.
Roach: Well, you can't not be impressed with the heart that the champion has shown to us all tonight. There were a lot of people who thought that STE wasn't going to pull it off, and yet again he proved them all wrong!
Buzz: When you consider the fact that he beat Magnus Von Schwartz in a match that in every way favored the challenger, you're right Roachy, you've got to give credit where it's due! Syrus dug down and pulled out that something extra that sets apart the good ones from the great ones here tonight! MSG now has one more memory for the ages!
Roach: Another wild night in the books, be-fitting the name of "Madness". We're glad you could join us...for Buzz Berman and the entire XWA team, this is Mike Roach saying so long from Madison Square Garden. We'll see you at the Draft!!!
The show goes off the air, but the celebration in the ring didn't stop as Syrus reveled in his hard fought victory as the fans showered him with cheers and adoration. Raising the belt to the rafters, it again was a declaration to the world that with all that went down that night, and all that would happen from that point on, the "entertainer" was still the champion of the world, and was more than capable of proving why to all comers.
The cameras still rolled on, streaming media over the XWA website as Syrus called for a microphone under his theme that still plated over the PA. Soon it faded out as prepared to say something to the fans with long, drawn breathing.
Wow...that was something wasn't it? New York, ya'll been good to me ever since I touched down...I'm just happy that I could repay you all here tonight.
I just wanna say some things out here before it's all over. First off, I might not like him...but I got nothing but respect for Magnus. He's all the way backstage now, but the man is as good as he says, no jive. He took me to the limit all this month, so I've gotta give him props.
Next, is a message to everyone out there who still thinks that I'm all fun & games. I am...but that doesn't mean that I can't get serious when it matters the most. To all ya'll haters out there...to all ya'll who think you're gonna take this title from me without the fight of your life, all I gotta say is this...

And that was all she wrote. Syrus lays down the mic and rolls out of the ring with the title in hand as the fans cheer him on back up the aisle he came from. Stopping at the entrance once more, Syrus turns around and raises the belt up again for one last photo op, then heads backstage.
