Fabiola: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm joined here now by one of the most fearsome competitors in female wrestling, and in the Diamond Division, Anjelyka. Last week, you made a challenge to some of the former champions of Glitter, and former Diamond Champions Sara Beck and Heather Fierhart answered the call...
Anjelyka cuts Fabiola off...
That they did. Sara came out with her typical ranting and raving, and Heather came out preaching about how women's wrestling has lost it's dignity. But at the end of the night, neither of them had what it took to get the job done. I on the other hand...did.
Sooooooooo...I take it this means your stance on what was addressed last week hasn't changed?
Changed? If anything, I only reinforced my point even more. Fabs, take a look around the Glitter locker room. What do you see? What personalities do you come in contact with?
Well...
I'll tell you since you seem a little clueless. You have your stuck up princesses, your hard up deisel dykes, your wanna be bad asses, your by the book good girls and your "Wins don't matter" emos. Do I need to run down the names? And then amongst all of them, you have me. Alone on my own lil' island. The one woman in all of XWA who doesn't conform to one of those tired ass stereotypes. And why is that? It's because I don't need to. What I do in the ring speaks much louder and clearer then what I...or anyone else can say on one of these here Mics. A fact that I proved last week. You saw the match. Heather had Sara laid out. But she made a critical error...not making sure she had ME laid out. And when she least expected it, I sinched in my Tiger Suplex and before she could realize she'd been dunked on her head, the ref's hand was coming down for the "3". That's what sets me apart from the rest of Glitter. I'm not here to preach. I'm not here to be loud. I'm not here to make all the boys come to the yard. I'm here to win. And any of these piss poor females who say that winning's not important...well...they must not be much in the department of winners, are they? The ones who say that kinda stuff are either the ones who never win, or know they CAN'T win, so they fool themselves with that drivel to lesson the blow when they lose...again...and again...and again.
Fabiola responds with a raised eyebrow.
Those are some pretty bold words, Anjelyka.
Well, that's me. Bold words. Bolder actions. And that's what leads me to tonight. Last week, I did what only a handful of women...in fact...the number you could actually count on one hand. And that's pin Heather Fierhart. In the last three years, how many women have actually beat her one on one? Sara Beck? Hayley Jonas? If you want to be technical...those are the ONLY two that have beaten her one on one. Heather Fierhart has destroyed ever competitor set in front of her. And this spans Three separate companies. Three completely different grids of competition. And she's laid waste to all who challenged her. There are plenty of women who say they are the best. There's only one who actually is. And her name is Heather Fierhart. I know this, and I respect her for this. But just because I respect her, that doesn't mean I by into her hype. Needless to say, none of the competition she's faced before have been on my level. *Heh heh* You haven't even begun to see how high I can raise the bar. But you will. Everyone will.
Let me give you a little history lesson, Fabsy. The year is 2007. The place, APW. The match, a Triple Threat match between Ms. Fierhart, one of her old rivals Elizabeth Knight and a young and inexperienced Marisol Cardinale. A match that went rather ironically the same way our match last week went. Heather laid Liz out to the point that she was unconscious. But in a split second, Marisol sneaks in, rolls her up, and picks up what I believe was her 1st career win. A fact I think lil' Ms. Mari would love to remind people of. But what she probably wouldn't want to remind anyone of is what happened as result. The next match would be Heather and Mari one on one, of which Heather gave Mari the most onesided beating of her career. How do I know these facts so vividly? It's simple. It's because unlike most of the rest of Glitter, I pay close...close attention to details. Because in seeing how someone wins, I can determine how to defeat them. I know the holes and chinks in the armor of every female in XWA. From Heather's inability to guard her blindside, to to Jamie Fury's tendency to telegraph when she's going for a clothesline by planting her right foot ahead of her before stepping into it, to lil' Lil Miss Tanden favoring setting up her grapples from the right side despite being a southpaw. It's called knowing your enemy. And there's not a woman in wrestling who gameplans facing an opponent better then me.
So, does this mean you'll be challenging Heather one on one tonight?
That's EXACTLY what it means. There comes a time that even a "Queen" has to answer to a higher power. And there's no higher power to answer to then an "Angel". Unless of course you're talking about the god the angle answers to. And when I'm done tonight, Heather Fierhart will wish I had "his" mercy.
Anjelyka gives a confident, coy smirk. She then leaves the interview area to prepare herself for the impending match.
