Facing The Music (Loki)

As MM continued from MSG, the sound of The Rolling Stones' "Paint It Black" began to play, which meant that the President of the XWA was about to make her presence felt at this event.

Roach: Uh oh...here comes the boss-lady. We say it a lot folks, and that's only because it's true...when Carmella Blackheart is in the building, something major is going to happen.

Buzz: With the draft upcoming and this apparent "invasion" taking place, she's certainly got a lot of business to attend to. I wonder why she's coming out here now though?

That was the same wonder that most of the fans in attendance shared with Berman as Carmella strided down the aisle into the ring. A crewmember hands her a microphone as the worldwide audience looks on to see what will develop from this scene.

Ladies and gentlemen...this past two weeks have seen some very unforeseeable events happening in this ring. Events that have involved men and now women who are not contractually endorsed by the XWA, and all because of one man who IS contractually endorsed. That man goes by the name of Loki Alverton.

The crowd suddenly begins to boo after Carmella speaks the name of this apparent turncoat.

Yes, there is a clause in every XWA contract that allows for members of the roster to invite guests to XWA events. It's the same way that someone like say...Tiffany Masterson is accompanied by her security detail. But never before...NEVER before have any such individuals directly interacted with the goings-on in this ring, especially like what happened on Glitter this past week, where not one, not two, but three of these XCW members actually competed in matches in this very ring!

That, plus the attack that has sideline Kayn has officially drawn the line and crossed it! Loki, I don't know what you're up to or why you're doing this...but I sure as hell intend to find out!

Behind her, a roar of cheers fills Madison Square Garden.

It's time for you to face the music. I know you're in attendance, so make your way to this ring...front and center...right now!

Lowering the mic, she awaits Loki to comply to her demands.

Within moments a new theme song for the man who set these plans into motion began to play. “Money” from Pink Floyd, a more suitable entrance theme for the multi-millionaire, echoed over the PA system in the world famous Madison Square Garden. After a few seconds Loki walked out from behind the curtain to the boos of the fans. An extremely satisfied smirk crossed Loki’s face before he headed down the ramp.

Roach: This guy has a lot of nerve partner. For months XWA paid his salary and now here he is, bringing some outside wrestlers into our federation.

Buzz: The guy definitely has some bowling balls in his pants Roach. Still I can’t help but be intrigued on what is going through his head.

Roach: Well the boss lady wants to know the same thing and when Ms. Blackheart wants something, she gets it.[/font]

Loki was standing ringside and he looked into the ring where Ms. Blackheart stood for a moment before walking up the ring steps. After he entered the ring his music began to fade and from his suit jacket he pulled out a microphone, however instead of the normal ones that the ring announcers hold, Loki’s had the “XCW” logo over the “XWA” one.

Good evening Ms. Blackheart, it has been quite some time since I have had the honor of being in your presence.[/font]

The crowd booed at Loki’s condescending tone, however he continued.

So you wish to know, what I am “up to” or why I am “doing this”? I’ll be more than happy to let you know what my reasoning is. You see, Carmella...[/font]

The crowd boos grew louder at Loki’s absolute disrespect to the XWA president. Loki paused for a moment and looked at the crowd.

Roach: What a jerk! Who the hell does he think he is?[/font]

My reasons for this little invasion, as it is being called, is quite simple. The entire time that I took my leave I kept my eyes on the XWA and it became apparent that you and everyone here in the XWA became full of yourselves. It was the buzz of the world about how the XWA was “The place that was taking over the world of sports entertainment” and how “You are no one until you have stepped through the ring of the XWA” and I grew sick of hearing about it. The land of opportunity was nothing more than a farce that could only be pointed out by someone who knew the truth about exactly what the XWA was about. That truth is that it does not matter how hard you work to make yourself a name here, it is all about whether or not yourself or Rodolphe like that specific person and if you believe you can make a few dollars from the blood, sweat and tears of that person.[/font]

As his tone became more and more disrespectful, the crowd was showing their distain for Loki, while it seemed that Ms. Blackheart was shocked by Loki’s statements. Loki paused for a moment then he pointed to the crowd while addressing at Ms. Blackheart.

See, you have all these people tricked into believing that I am the bad guy in all of this, when the truth is it is you and your so called “Superstars” who are the ones that are wrong through all of this.[/font]

At this point Loki begins to circle around Ms. Blackheart as he continues to explain himself.

You have all become so bold with your place in this world that you could not believe for a moment that someone would be able to do what myself and my cohorts achieved. The consummate attitude that you all exude, even when I was an active participant, cloud everyone on your roster to the fact that you are all still human and that there is not one of you that is untouchable. We have come here to show you that there are people that are truly capable of bringing each and everyone of your stars out of the cloud and plant their feet firmly on the ground, and if you don't believe me then maybe you should call your original “Combatant Xtraordinaire” and ask him exactly what we are capable of.[/font]

Loki made a full circle around Ms. Blackheart, which he then takes a few steps closer to her, pauses and looks her up and down and continues with a devilish smirk on his face.

Besides, a little “friendly competition” never hurt anyone, right Carmella?[/font]

Loki smirked as he lowered his microphone.

Loki, this really isn't anything that I expected to come from someone like you.

There was a combination of shock and surprise on Carmella's face as she listened to what he had to say.

Maybe someone else. Maybe someone from somewhere else, but someone like you, a man who I had always considered to be one of the more savvy competitors out there...I couldn't imagine why you'd stoop to the lows that you gone to. Attention maybe? Publicity for this XCW perhaps? Or maybe you genuinely, honestly think to yourself that you really are crusaders fighting against the "evil empire"?

She slowly started to pace around the ring.

Let me tell you something about this place. When I started it, everyone thought that it was going to fail. Everyone tried to throw as much propaganda and rumors out and around the XWA to make it fail. I've probably still got plenty of enemies in this business now as we speak because the XWA has grown into such a success without them as a part of it, and trust me...I've heard plenty of talk in the past about people supposedly trying to bust up my operation from the inside, and it just never happened. Do you know why that is, Loki?

It's because I know this game. I know this business better than anyone. At any given time someone can catch fire. Someone can rise above and beyond the competition and become a standout in this business. That's the kind of growth that is what they XWA is all about! Take a look at all of the top superstars who call this place home and you'll see that most of them made a name for themselves in this ring. That's the part that I don't know if you and your new friends understand...in this ring is truly where it all matters.

In the background, the fans start to chant "X-Dub! X-Dub!" in full support.

That's more than a slogan, and it's not saying that we're more important than anyone else. It's saying that when you're here in this ring, the only that matters is what happens in this ring...and it's the ones who understand that fact who're the ones who find themselves at the top of this company. The XWA is in high regard, and will always be in high demand because we want the best. I want the best! If that sounds boastful, well...we earned the right to be that way, so deal with it!

Now, it's funny that you mention "friendly competition" because the last I checked, you were still under an XWA contract. That means that I can put your ass to work here tonight. I hope you've got some ring gear packed up because tonight, you're going to be in action in this ring and you can bring one of your friends along if you want because it's going to be a Tornado Tag match you're in against two XWA superstars of my choosing!

With another match now being made as we speak, Carmella first paused to take a breath and see what Loki had to say now about the new situation.

Loki’s smirk started to turn into a scowl of disbelief. He hadn’t entered a ring in months for competition and even though he had kept himself in top physical condition he wasn’t ready for action in the ring. He quickly brought the microphone to his lips.

You can not do that! I have not wrestled in months and I am definitely not prepared for a match tonight.[/font]

As Loki attempted to plead his case, it seemed to fall on deaf ears as Ms. Blackheart seemed to show no remorse for him as the crowd began to chant “Baby!”

Roach: Unbelievable Buzz, he comes out here basically declaring war and now that he’s faced with a battle he’s trying to get out of it.

Buzz: Give the guy a break Roach, he said he hasn’t wrestled in months. I’d say the exact same thing. Besides, he only has a couple of people that he can team up with. Ms. Blackheart has an entire roster to choose from.

Roach: He should have thought about that before he opened his mouth.[/font]

As the crowd’s taunts grew louder, Loki became more and more angry at them.

See! This is exactly what I meant! This crowd firmly stands behind you as if they were sheep being lead to pasture, when in fact they are being lead to the slaughter house. Is this how you became the best? By tricking your fans? Fine Ms. Blackheart, if me, an innocent bystander in all of this, getting into “your” ring tonight with one of my associates will help cement the fact that you are nothing more than a power hungry tyrant, then I gladly accept the challenge.[/font]

The crowd began to cheer as they had been waiting from the beginning of this to see Loki get what’s coming to him. Loki lowered his microphone and waited for a reply from Ms. Blackheart.

Loki, you're about as innocent as Alex Rodriguez was when he played in Texas.

He was right about one thing though, the fans were on her side. They wanted to see something big happen.

You haven't seen what kind of a slaughter house this place can be just yet, but you will. Believe you me, you will. I'll leave you pick who you're going to bring along with you. Good luck, Loki...you're going to need it.

Those were Carmella's last words as she exited the ring with a slightly satisfied look on her face.

Buzz: I wonder who is going to be the President's choices? And who is Loki going to have on his side? Damian...or maybe someone else?

Roach: Who knows? I have a feeling that this isn't going to be good though...
