Following a match, Takedown goes backstage once again. Joe Beakmen stands along side Chris Hevessey, who was dressed in full ring gear. Joe doesn't waste time asking the question of the day...
Chris, last week you went one on one with the reigning X-Gen champion, Brian Yang. And suffice to say, things didn't go so well for you. You've had a week to mull over how the match turned out, what's you thoughts?
That's easy, Beakz. I'm impressed. Yea, I know...not what you were expecting to hear. You were expecting to hear me talk about how I'm upset I lost to a smug, pompous, arrogant, self centered jackass like Yang. And yea, we all know he's all of those things plus more. But what I got to see last week is that along with all of that, he's also one of, if not the best pound for pound wrestler in XWA. And that's saying something. In a company that has talent the likes of Scott O'Dell, MVS, Jon Payne, Primo Valiante and Bryan Jasta, a man like Brian Yang can go un-noticed, because none of those guys I mentioned will ever wrestle an X-Gen match. But Yang, he brought the tunder last week. Trust me, I've been on the receiving end of some decent ass kickings. But Yang more then backed up his claim as being the best Junior Heavyweight of the planet right now.
Kinda sounds like there might be a lil' bit of doubt in your belief that you can take the X-Gen Title off of him.
That's where you're mistaken my chubby friend. I respect his ability. After last week, I have a new found respect for that ability even more. But just because he's good, doesn't mean his unbeatable. It just means you have to step you game up that much more to do it. Last week, I'll straight up admit I underestimated him. With all of his hot headed trash talk, I figured he was just like every other guy in wrestling how talks out their ass, all show & no go. But Yang showed me otherwise. He showed me that unlike most of the big mouths in XWA, he can back it up in the ring. And I couldn't be more thrilled that he can. Because tonight, you, him and the rest of the world are going to see me take my game up to the level needed to knock him down one. There won't be any underestimation on my part. There's going to be me taking the fight to him, dropping him on his dome, and picking up the W. Do I doubt I can beat him? Not a freakin' chance. Last week, Yang showed me his best. This week, I show him mines.
Chris then takes his leave. Beakmen turns to the camera and speaks.
There you have it, folks. Hevessey and Yang will meet up later tonight in our Co-Main event, and it's lookin' like it's gonna be a good one. Let's send it back to Tony & Willy at ringside.
