An Honest Match(Hayley)

Takes place backstage at the Takedown Season Finale.

The camera fades in on Fabiola, looking poised, microphone in hand and her interviewee Cosette Grace, who was half-dressed to wrestle in her gear minus the armbands and wearing an XWA T-shirt over it all.

Fabiola: We’re joined now by one of our XWA Diamonds and the former Pearl Champion, Cosette Grace. She’s coming off that brutal Diamond Devil’s Playground Match from our last pay per view and I guess I should ask how you’re doing. So?

How I’m doing, right. Well I’ll probably be feeling that one for a few months but as you can see I’m ready to go here tonight. Of course I don’t like the fact that I came within a stone’s throw of winning only to come up short, but I suppose I’ll manage. I may not get my Diamond Title shot this season but I have to say I’m quite satisfied with my performance at Devil’s Playground.

Fabiola: Some people are calling one of the “highlights” of that performance you locking in the choke from behind on Hayley Jonas to eliminate her from the match.

Oh, you saw that did you? Well, what can I say? I saw my chance and I took it because it was the right thing to do at the time. But you see, that’s not the problem. Ever since then I’ve been hearing that I couldn’t possibly do that in a “real” wrestling match. That if I had to stand face to face with her and she wasn’t hurt that there would be no way I could beat Hayley Jonas. Which brings me to why I’m here tonight. Ms. Jonas if you will and you’re at 100% here tonight I’m going to try to prove otherwise and maybe open a few eyes doing it.

It only took a few moments for Hayley to arrive on the scene. She honestly showed no signs of injury despite what it was that friends and fans alike were talking about prior to the Diamond Playground match. Donning her new white "Hellcat" T cut at the midriff (superstars gotta rock their merchandise ) she makes her approach to the two with seemingly no anger in her.

[glow=red,4,300]You know what Cos? I think it'd be really interesting to shut up those critics and insiders once and for all. I'll be the first person to say that you are one of the smartest wrestlers in this business today, and that's the reason why it is that you've been a champion here. If it were me in your shoes I would have done the same thing. Let's face facts here, in the end it's about doing what needs to be done. There was no room for second place in the DDP and you saw me with a bullseye on my head and nailed the target beautifully. Anyone who questions that kind of skill doesn't know a damn thing about this sport or this business.

I have nothing but respect for you, no way I can knock that kinda hustle, but let me also be the first to inform you and all of my fans out there that I'm 100% for sure. No one little bump is gonna slow me down so you'd better believe that I'm ready for a good scrap here tonight in New Jersey with you Cosette. You just name it and I'll be there![/glow]

She smiles and nods taking a step closer in to face the Hellcat eye to eye.

Well we’re on then. I can’t wait. It means something to step into the ring with someone like you and I plan on using this big brain of mine to make it mean even more. I think we can leave the steel safely back at Madison Square tonight, all we need tonight is a ring to hold us and a referee to tell us we have to stop. Does that sound like fun?

The one with the most fight in them is the one who's gonna come out on top, and right about now I've got more fight in me than ever before. I've got something to prove myself here as well, that even after what happened last week in Vegas that I can still come out here, step into that ring and do what it is that I do best: Unleash Hell On Earth!
