The Right Way to Begin (spoilz) (o2a)

After Val had hit a neckbreaker and covered for the pin, the match was over. The two did what they needed to do and had come away from the first show of the season with a victory. Romeo had started what he wanted to do but blooding one of the members of TNN. He told them that they’d better watch out or else they would get the beating of a lifetime which is what happened tonight. Val and Romeo celebrated in the ring as Val’s theme song played throughout the arena. A great debut it was for Val and a great way to the start the season for the both of them. After celebrated for a couple minutes, Romeo exits the ring and makes his way to the backstage area.

Once Romeo reached the backstage area, he grabbed himself a bottle of water and quickly twisted the cap and drank about half the bottle. He then began moving his left wrist in a circular motion. It felt good as the injury had healed from two months ago. Romeo was surprised himself that it had healed so quick after it had nagged him for so long. I guess the constant trauma to it had aggravated it more during the last season. He continued drinking the water as he tried to loosen up and relax. As he finished the bottle of water, another person had stepped into the scene.

It was Nick Jones that was the man to step out into the scene. Looking Romeo up and down and then looking over to his Pure Championship, he gave off a little grin. Nick then grabs a water himself and takes a couple of sips waiting to see the reaction Romeo had if any. Obviously as he waited he got tired of waiting. So with doing so he drops his water bottle off onto a nearbye table and stands firmly infront of Romeo point at his championship. Nick was more confusing then ever right now but he knew what he was up to.

"Do you see this title? Its not just a title to me, its something more then a title. It is my career. You want to know why I say that Romeo. The reason is because, before I won that championship, I was pretty much a nobody. Yeah, I won my matches when I needed to and was almost undefeated to say the least. But when that title came into my hands it was something else. The first title I had actually won since becoming a pro wrestler. If you still don't know me, I might as well let you know who I am. My name is Nick Jones. I have been away for a long while but I do remember you joining XWA. You were a man of great respects, and I still respect you to this day. Offically, I am not signed to come back into the wrestling ring until after March Madness. But I wanted to come over here and talk to you in the backstage area since I got the chance to. I did not come over here to insult you, I may not look up to you, but your one hell of a wrestler in more then one situation. I have no intention of harming you or pulling those stupid sneak attacks when you turn your head for a moment. Instead I want to make an opposition. Like I told you earlier, I cannot offically make my return until AFTER March Madness. So I want to ask you something. I have watched you while I was away, and I like your style, I like it a lot. I want to come back the first TakeDown after March Madness and challenge you to a match. And I do not mean for your championship, just a simple match, for now. Its not to prove anything, its not to make one another hate the other, it is strictly to have me return, and have a great wrestler to compete against. It is totally up to you, but just let me know now what you think of the idea.

Nick then pulls away and grabs his water, he then takes a few more sips of it and grins once again over at Romeo. Rolling up the sleeves of his sweater he then walks back over to Romeo watter bottle still im his hand and waits for Romeo to speak.

Romeo quickly survey’s the area and doesn’t see the Pure title anywhere. Last time he checked he had left it in his locker room. He chuckled to himself for a moment as Nick was speaking of the title that Romeo didn’t have with him that the moment. Romeo then replied to Nick.

Hold on one sec there Nick. The Pure title ain’t even out here right now man. Yeah, I left it in my locker room. It’s cool though I feel what ya’ tryin’ to say. You’re a former Pure champ, well that’s cool. I do agree wit’ something ya’ said, winnin’ a title in the XWA does pretty much boost ya’ a bit in the rankings. It was a definite boost of confidence for me I have to say. Also with the Pure title, it defines whether ya’ are a pure wrestler or not cause there ain’t any breaks man. That’s what I like ‘bout the Pure title. The two opponents just go at it with no breaks to determine the winner. Now that’s wrestlin’.

Romeo stopped himself before going on and on about the Pure title. He could go on all day about how important that title is to him and what it signifies.

But yeah man, I appreciate that you respect me as a competitor. I wish I could see ya’ wrestle before March Madness cause I don’t remember ya’ real well. There are a lot of wrestler’s that come and go so ya’ don’t really get to see what they can do in the ring. Ya’ feel what I’m sayin’? But let’s get on to the topic ‘bout ya’ challengin’ me to a match. So ya’ what to make your official re-debut against me? That’s cool man. I’m not the type of person to turn down a challenge, so ya’ know that’s I’m game for that bro. We’ll have ourselves a plain ol’ singles match. Actually let’s make it a lil’ better than that. How ‘bout we make it a Pure rules match. What do ya’ say ‘bout that man?

Nick smiles as he likes what he hears, either then the part about his pure championship not being there lol. Anyways, Nick looks at Romeo and shakes his head with a confident swagg in his steps as he just boosts himself up. He then gives off an even bigger smile at the mention of a good pure rules match.

"Romeo I love the way you think man, cause it totally works with me. A pure rules match, I love the ring of that. Then lets make it offical. The first TakeDown that takes place after March Madness which will come in April, we both march down to this ring with pride and respect, and have ourselves a good match. No cheap shots, no DQ's just a fair match that shows two competitors pushing themselves to the limit. Until then I will talk to you later, if you need to hit me up about further details just either come to my dressing room area or get my cell which is listed on this random ass card.

Nick chuckles a bit as he hands Romeo the card with the cell number written on it as well as Nick Jones and his locker room number. After the exchange is done Nick once again nods in the direction of Romeo once more before leaving his sight and walking in the direction of the main doors so that he could obviously take on his personal business.

Romeo shrugged his shoulders as Nick Jones had walked away. He took the card that Nick had given him and tossed it in the trash. He really wasn’t going to call the guy anyways so what would be the point in keeping the card. He grabbed another bottle of water and began making his way to his locker room. His body was a little sore and he wanted to shower so that he could cool down and then rest before the next show. On the way to his locker room he finished the bottle of water. He reached the locker room, opened it, entered, and closed the door behind. He was going to do just as he thought which was shower and following that, rest.
