The bell had rung.. the dust has settled. Emerging from the ashes was an Elite. His hand being raised in victory. The crowd... well... they were none too happy with what had happened here tonight. But to hell with them. This was Payne's time, not there's.

Payne jumped on the turnbuckle after his match, pointing out at the crowd as they begin to boo and spew out obscenities. Payne yells back to them: "I told you so. You don't have to like me. But now, you will all respect me !"

After all the celebrating. Payne grabbed a microphone nearby. Calling for his music to cut off as he had this say:

*breaths heavily* You assholes... can boo me all you want.

Payne lowers the mic to catch his breath. Regaining his composure shortly after as he continues.

But the fact of the matter is. Just like Dante will have no other alternative to do. He, just like all of you street rats out there, will have to respect me !

More boo's continue to roar out from the crowd.

I'm not here to win popularity points. Wrestling is by no means a popularity contest. I don't give a rats ass how many people like me or hate me. But what I do care about is respect. The one key to the puzzle that's missing around XWA, is respect.

Because with people like Elsworth running around. God only knows that wrestling needs to have respect put back into the sport more then ever. Its because of the entertainers of our industry that has turned wrestling from a once respected sport to a Hollywood walk of shame.

Tonight is the first step in my journey of putting respect back into the business. The only way my journey will end is by becoming World Heavyweight Champion. Let Dante Elsworth be the first of what will be many many victims to have challenged 'The Elite', and have failed MISERABLY !

Elsworth ! If you can hear me in there. I want you to know that... I STILL don't respect you, boy ! Your still a overgrown, juiced up lil punk. Here on Overload. I proved to the world that your bark is far worse then your bite.

However... if you feel the need to get your ass handed to you one more time ? I'm not too hard to find, lil man. Cause when you mess with the best !? You go down like all the rest !

Payne drops the mic. His music begins to play once more. As he makes his way out of the ring and walks up the ramp to the backstage area.

Tony: For a man who demands respect. He has a funny way of showing respect to his opponents and to the fans that made him what he is.

Willy: I have to agree with ya on that one, Tony. Scary part about this is, the more wins Payne racks up. The bigger his ego will swell. Imagine how he would be if he ever were to become XWA's World Champion ? Good golly miss molly. Talk about a headache you won't be able to get rid of .

Just as Payne was nearing the backstage curtain Dante steps out from the backstage area in one hand a microphone and the other a sledgehammer.

Tony: What the hell! Dante lost that match fair and square and now he has the mind to come out here with that? This looks like it is going to get out of hand real fast.

Brandon, I have to say it. Good job. You won that battle, but now you have much, muuuuuuch, more on your plate. You say I have no alternative than to pay you respect? I think I have an array of alternatives and here is one right here.

Dante points the head of the sledgehammer towards Payne.

And if you were looking to get my attention, I assure you, you have fully acquired it. For two weeks now you have repeatedly claimed everyone in this stadium owes you respect. Well guess what Brandon, you are wrong. You claim that your journey will not end until you are crowned as the World Heavyweight Champion, looks like you are once again walking down an endless path. Because as long as I am still standing you will never reach that goal. I told you last week to do something about it, so you come out and get a win by the skin of your teeth and think its over? Oh no Payne, this is just the beginning. You think you got the job done tonight? That you have beaten me? Far from it. The day I am beaten is the day they put the coffin in the ground.

As for this?

Dante throws the sledgehammer on the ground at Brandon's feet.

Its a message, and if you haven't figured it out yet I suggest you find someone who can.

On that note Dante drops his microphone and turns back towards the backstage area.

Payne looked down at the sledgehammer with an immediate smile coming across his face. He knew exactly what Dante was getting at.

Oh yes... I get the message alright.

Payne picked up the sledgehammer, holding it in his hands. Hoisting the deadly weapon over his left shoulder as he continued.

If you want to play with fire, Elsworth. Heh...Heh.... your going to get BURNED !

Payne, with sledgehammer in hand. Left the ring and made his way to the backstage area. Having won the battle, the war is seemingly FAR from over.
