Downloaded GIMP a couple of days ago, been tinkering around with some stuff. These are in order from newest to oldest, working on another as a write this. It gets really addicting but its fun. Clearly, still fairly n00balicious but I've been told I'm getting better and have a lot of potential. For other aspiring GFX'ers...reading tuts REALLY helps.
