And now, the day had finally come. Inside of the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, thousands of fans sat in their seats in anticipation, and a worldwide audience sat at home glued to their TV sets to witness the worldwide phenomenon that was known as the XWA.

The video trucks outside feed the opening sequence, with that now embedded theme song by Waterproof Blonde that's as fitting a title as any-"Are You Ready?" Yes, the fans were ready, the superstars were ready, the world was ready.

"Cue the pyro!"

With that word, the ring and the new set echo with explosion and illuminate with a pyrotechnic shower! The roar of the crowd explodes right along with it, so loud that it even eclipses the sound of 10,000 fireworks. It was showtime.

Roach: The moment that you've all been waiting for has arrived! XWA Year Three is now in full effect! Welcome everyone to the sold out Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY...welcome to the season premiere of XWA TAKEDOWN!!! Mike Roach and of course the incomparable Buzz Berman here at ringside!

BuZZ: You can feel the electricity in the building here tonight Roach! This place is absolutely on FIYIYIYAAAAH!!!

Roach: Five minutes in, and you already have a new catchphrase. Have you been practicing that one over the offseason?

BuZZ: Oh yeah!!!

Then, just as the noise seemed to wear down, the sound of The Rolling Stones' "Paint It Black" began to play, and the crowd came to their feet again to greet the incoming President of the XWA herself.

Roach: On a night like this, a season premiere event like this, you knew for a fact that the boss lady was going to be in the building.

"Please welcome the President of the XWA, Carmella Blackheart!"

Carmella was all smiles as she strode down the aisle to the ring. Waving to all of the fans that helped make the XWA into a complete success,, she walked up the stairs into that squared circle...her squared circle. The ring announcer hands her his microphone and makes his exit, leaving Ms. Blackheart in the center of the ring, showered by the cheers and admiration of the XWA's fans.

Welcome everyone...to XWA YEAR THREE!!!

(HEAVY POP)

Tonight, we embark on yet another long journey that will take us around the world. It will have men and women step into this ring and give you the greatest show of athleticism known to man. Some of the names and faces you know all too well.

Robby Sylk? (boos)

How about the "Death Metal Goliath" Kayn? (cheers)

"The Elite" Brandon Payne? (more boos)

"The Evolution" Jon Payne...no relation of course, fresh off of training for his UFC debut? (more cheers)

How about your new XWA World Champion, Syrus The Entertainer? (even MORE cheers)

Well, guess what...they and many more are all here in this building tonight, getting ready to kick off our 2009 season the same way we ended 2008, by giving you some of the best action you'll ever see in a wrestling ring! And might I say that I couldn't have thought of a better place to do it than right back here in New York...and right here in Long Island!

(another pop)

As Carmella was beginning to say something else now, there appeared to be some form of technical difficulty with her microphone. She noticed this as she spoke into it, but no sound amplified from it.

Roach: Hmm, there seems to be some form of technical difficulty going on here with Ms. Blackheart's mic. We are live after all, these things do happen...

Suddenly, the jumbotron screens went blank. Pitch black. All eyes turned to the now lifeless screens, when out of nowhere a white noise signal jumped up on them.



BuZZ: What the?

The screen goes black once again. But then, a message soon appears in bold, white text.

After that display, everything seemed to have gone right back to normal. But things were far from that. The cameras rolled on as Carmella leaned over the rope, yelling at one of the sound engineers at ringside.

What the hell just happened? What was that?

"I don't know, ma'am! I'm...I'm just as surprised as you are, I have no idea!"

Well, come with me then, we're going to the video truck to see what's going on. Someone's going to pay dearly for this...

Roach: Well...not exactly the kind of note that you'd want things to kick off on as it looks as if Ms. Blackheart is heading backstage to see what was the reason for that interruption.

BuZZ: Can we get a camera to go back there with them and see?

Roach: Yes, there they go. We'll follow up on this as it develops of course. What a strange and cryptic message that was. I mean, you see it all the time to hype up wrestler's arrivals or such that kind of thing, but...what was that all about?
