The arena swelled with people. As they waited patiently for the next match to begin, instead they were met by the music of the STILL XWA National Champion, Bryan Jasta. With a smug smirk on his face, Jasta emerges from backstage, the title slung over his shoulder. As he makes his way to the ring, the jeers of the crowd were more then evident. He climbs the ring steps and then into the ring itself. Handed a mic, Jasta begins his pride parade.
It's almost gotten to the point where it's not even worth getting up for work. I decimated five other men to secure the XWA National Title less then two months ago. And since then, I've stepped in this ring and defended it now FOUR times. How many defenses was it the first National Champion Xander Xavier Luther had before he lost? FIVE. One defense is all I need to match his lofty mark. But let's be honest here, people. I've got the tools & talent to FAR surpass a mere five defenses. I WILL go down as the greatest National Champion in XWA HISTORY!!! The Dawn Of Domination has come, and any and ALL who dare oppose me, will find the hard way just what that means...
His crass grin shows a man full of self indulgent pride. He continues.
Vincent Venom gave it a valiant effort. But in the end, he met the same result that Evan Fate & Van Hayden met. Defeat by MY hand. Speaking of defeat, let's talk about XWA's now FORMER Pure Champion, Testudo.
The crowd cheers mention of the savvy ring veteran.
Right, cheer him on now. It's a shame your love and admiration for the old fool wasn't enough to tide him over defeating Nick Jones. It's as I said before, Testudo. You're a man on the decline. I'm a man on the rise. And now, you've got to look at me in this ring, and realize the painful truth of your ineptitude. The two of us went into Devil's Night champions. But THE BETTER MAN left STILL a champion. *heh heh heh* But you see, at the Takedown Season Finale, I'm willing to but my record tieing fifth Title defense on HOLD, simply because the time for talking is OVER. I said three weeks ago that when the sun sets on your career, I'LL be the man basking in the thrill of ENDING IT. That's why here, tonight. I'm issuing YOU a challenge. You and I, one on one.
The crowd cheers loudly at Jasta's surprising challenge.
And maybe, just maybe. If you even manage to keep me even MILDLY entertained, I'll GIVE you the chance to be No. 5 on my rise to XWA immortality.
With the roar of the crowd echoing in the arena, Jasta awaits the response of Testudo.

It only took a minute before the lights slightly dimmed, with Susperia's "More" hit the arena, baiting on the crowd to cheer excessively, with Jasta most likely gaining a smirk knowing that the former Pure Champion would be stepping out. As soon as the vocals kicked in, the 6'11" giant himself stepped out onto the stage, microphone in hand, stopping there for one second. Something looked out of place on Testudo: the look on his face was set in stone: his eyes were transfixed on Jasta, who was waiting for him in the ring. Eventually, the 43 year old ring veteran began walking again: slowly but surely. As he walked down the ramp, various fans extended their hands out, but were merely ignored. To Testudo, they didn't matter. All he could focus on right now was wiping the smug look off of Jasta's face, in a match or otherwise. Even as he got up the steel steps, he did not break his eye contact on Jasta for one second. Stepping through the ropes as soon as he got onto the ring apron, Testudo got toe-to-toe with the National Champion, looking straight down into his eyes. He didn't care if Jasta didn't flinch for one second: all he wanted Jasta to see was what he was getting himself into. Throughout the stare-out, the crowd egged Testudo on to throw a sneak punch on Jasta, but he knew better. Why would he want to stoop to a level that Jasta would most likely use? Eventually, the ex-Pure Champion took a step back and began raising the microphone to his mouth, ready to speak.
"Well done on stating the obvious, Captain Dickhead. I lost the Pure Title to that cheating son-of-a-bitch. Pricks like him don't deserve titles, but then again, I'm looking at an even bigger asshole right now in front of me."[/b]
Small insults to start off with. Even so, the crowd began cheering on for The Green Giant.
"I could've gone to the boss, bitching and moaning, but I haven't. I could've confronted Jones and slap him a good one, but I haven't. I could've hit the bottle and become a drunk like Sandman, but I haven't. Instead, I've kept my head high. Why? Because YOU know damn well I'm better than that."
The support for Testudo kept growing by the minute.
"You can insult me all you want, you can taunt me all you want, hell, you can even come piss on my doorstep for all you want, but I'll keep coming back, again, and again, and again. You want this match to happen? You got it, bitch."[/b]
The crowd, if even possible, cheered even harder for the acceptance of the match.
"Whatever the outcome of this match, I WILL be coming after you for that belt, as you so rightly proclaimed."[/b]
Lowering the microphone, Testudo awaited for what Jasta had to say, which was most likely going to be some form of witty and insulting words.

Jasta was all smiles from Testudo's words. It would seem as if he wouldn't even have to work hard to get him hot under the collar. He raises his mic and responds.
Do I detect a hint of BITTERNESS in your voice? It sounds a little like you've been hit with the old sour grapes. Or is it because at Devil's night you painfully reminded of your own ineptitude? Yea, I think that's about right. The jolly green giant has been reduced to a blubbering, whining old BITCH. And I'm personally loving every minute of it. But you see old man, Nick Jones, I'm not. I don't need to take the low road to beat a man. Nick Jones calls himself "The Beast", when in fact he's merely a cute little beagle. A puppy getting his first taste of some real action. Whereas I myself am a WOLF. With fur black as night, and claws as sharp as razors. Every man I've faced to date I haven't just beaten, I've DESTROYED. And you??? You're no different. You see my friend, you've just stepped up the food chain. You lost to a puppy, what in blue hell makes you think you'll fare better versus me? But who am I to deny a dieing man his last meal. His last taste of glory, before he's laid to his eternal rest.
Jasta awaits Testudo's next response.

As Jasta finished, Testudo responded.
"I missed the part where I gave a shit about what you consider yourself."[/b]
Some laughter spread through audience, which in turn caused Testudo to whip his head to their direction.
"Shut up."[/b]
What's this? A cold statement to the crowd? Many were taken back by what had just come out of the giant's mouth. Testudo soon turned his attention back to Jasta.
"May I point out that in the past, YOU, of all people, were pinned by one of the most underachieving guys in XWA so far? Mr. Blade Myers? Or whatever the hell that twat calls himself?"[/b]
A new attitude seemed to be emerging from Testudo. Could all this resentment and anger soon finally be developing a new persona? Who knows.
"That's right. I saw Soul Survivor. You had your ass pinned by that punk. A guy who brags constantly about how damn well he is neglects to mention how he was taken out of the picture by a guy who can't even consistently win a number of matches? Oh the bitter irony."[/b]
Eventually, many of the fans who tune into XWA remembered that particular event. Nearly everyone joined in at goading the National Champion.
"That loss will always haunt you Jasta. How people forgot about it for this long I shall never know."[/b]

Haunt me???
Jasta laughs to himself off mic before continuing.
My my, how selective can we be? So you went back and did your little research on one of my FEW losses in XWA. Granted, Blade Myers DID defeat me. But then I came back and beat the poor boy within an inch of his life. Shortly followed by myself and Primo repeating that performance on both him AND Chris Lionheart in a tag match. If you're going to run with facts, old man...try getting them ALL first.
He gives an evil grin before continuing.
I think it's YOU who'll be haunted by a loss to a wet behind the ears rookie, not me. The night Blade Myers defeated me, As I've admitted to in the past, I under estimated him. And he beat me. A fact I took into account in our second encounter, and proved a point. And that is when and IF you beat Bryan Jasta, you'd better make damn sure he doesn't come back for you. Whereas YOUR loss to a rookie came in a Title Match. A match where you were SUPPOSED to give your all. A match where you were SUPPOSED to be at the top of your game. But Jones pretty much proved your game isn't what it used to be, didn't he???
Jasta laughs off mic again...
Old man...I could go on and lose my next FIVE matches, and it STILL won't stack up to the humiliation you suffered at Devil's Night.
No...
I take that back. There will be something that equals, if not surpasses that humiliation. When I defeat you TONIGHT. And THEN when I defeat you for this National Title at Xgames. My year will indeed be complete then.
Jasta stands awaiting the final response from Testudo.

"I suppose I can give you a little extra incentive to make sure you want to get rid of me."[/b]
Many audience members turned to themselves and thought: "What could the guy offer?". They were about to find out.
"This is an offer you can't refuse. Should you be able to beat me on BOTH nights, tonight AND at the XGames, I'm retiring from wrestling for good. Gone. Never to set foot in a ring again until I croak it. That way you won't have to deal with me continuously pestering you."[/b]
A shock revelation to all. Should Testudo lose both matches, he's retiring indefinitely. No more matches anywhere.
"You heard me correctly. You win both matches, I go. Surely this should make you up your game in wanting to get rid of me."[/b]

Jasta was all smiles. The last time he'd gotten this kind of offer, he ended up revealing LunaSic to be Sylas Styles after busting him open. Indeed it was to good to pass up. Jasta's response was to the point.
You're ON.
He stands with an evil grin on his face. At this point, there was no further need for words. Only action. He awaits the response.

Sucker...
Testudo merely tilted his head left and right, cracking his neck, following with one final sentence.
"Tonight. Be here."[/b]
Finishing on those three words, Testudo dropped the microphone and stepped backwards towards the ropes, keeping a close eye on Jasta just in case he tried anything funny. Stepping through the ropes with ease, the giant jumped off the ring apron, still walking backwards and keeping eye contact on Jasta. As soon as he got to the top of the stage, Testudo turned around and headed backstage, preparing for the upcoming match. It would seem this bitter rivalry would not end nicely...
