“Hey everyone, it’s been some time since I had a chance to post one of these things, so let me bring you up to speed on what’s been happening. Yesterday I walked in the door of my parent’s home here in the great city of Seattle after a short west coast tour with my band ‘Worm Ridden’ and I have to say that just like the XWA fans, the fans of the band are the best around. We’ve met so many cool people on the road and we’ve seen some of the most amazing things on the tour. A personal favorite for me was getting a chance to stop and see the memorial plaque for the man that inspired me to start playing bass, Cliff Burton at his elementary school in Castro Vally, California.
Everyone in the crowds were amazing and they helped remind all of us in the band why we play the music we play and how much we miss it when we’re not doing it. I want to announce here and now that we discussed it on tour and we’re going to start work on our next album in a few months. Worm Ridden’s fans are the most down to earth, loyal and dedicated people I’ve ever had the honor of meeting and I want to thank you all for making out return to the stage an amazing experience. For me it’s just like the XWA, when we take our end of season break I am usually bouncing off the walls to get back into the ring. I personally love going out and entertaining all the fans in the crowd and it shows, however there was a slight incident right before the break that there have been some questions about and I’ve been rather silent about it, but I think it’s time for me to speak my piece.
A little over a month ago we were doing a house show and there was a group of people at ringside that were causing a ruckus with some of the XWA talent. Their taunts and jeers were not directed at anyone in particular that evening, just pretty much the entire roster, including myself. Even though they were disrespecting all of us from before the match to after the match and all points in between I think we all did our best to not let the distractions keep us from putting on the performance that you fans have become accustom to from the XWA superstars. I’m not sure who these people are, but I would now like to make a statement to them.
I don’t know where you come from, and I don’t care, but what I do know is where I’ll be when the XWA opens its doors again. Dead center in the ring doing what I do best, entertaining our fans. I hope you’ll be there too, watching what I, as well as all the XWA superstars, do when we step between those ropes. The XWA is a house that was built on the blood, sweat and tears of people like Scott O’Dell, XXL, Keith Wyle, Jon Payne, Ashley Diamond and myself and I for one will not stand for a bunch of disrespectful punks coming into the house I helped build and running their mouths. If you have something to say to me, then say it to my face in MY ring. Until you muster the guts to do that, all you’re doing is wasting your breath and time.
I'll see you all in a little under a month, and to all my XWA comrades, make sure you're hitting the gym, because if you thought I was impressive last season, well you ain't seen nothing yet.
