* How It Started: I was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. In high school, I was heavily involved in sports. Anything from Basketball, Softball, to Volleyball. I graduated from high school in 2006. Afterwords, I ended up moving to Charlotte, NC to enroll into North Carolina University under a sports scholarship I had earned. In college, I was under a 2-4 year plan to get my business degree. As I wanted to originally run my own tanning salon. Around that time, in between my studies. I started to watch wrestling. I wasn't really a big fan of it growing up and just thought it was one of the most ridiculous sports ever created (laughs). BUT.. as I got older, and wrestling was starting to change. So did my perception on the sport. I started to see wrestling as not just an athletic sport, but turning the focus more into a Hollywood-ish, sports entertainment direction. That part about it really got me into wrestling. The storylines, and the soap opera aspect of it is what got me hooked.
Then about a year later. I up and decided to take a risk on one day becoming a pro wrestler. Me having an athletic background. I knew that I could handle most of the bumps and I'm not the top of girl that chickens out because I broke a nail (laughs). But first, I wanted to finish school. So.. a couple more years went by and in early last year, I graduated from UNC with my business degree. Using that as a backup option in the case that a career in pro wrestling doesn't work out. I would always have something to fall back on.
From there, I moved to Miami, Florida and enrolled into a wrestling school outside of Clearwater. Trained there for several months and after that, started take some local indy bookings under the name, 'Natasha Banks'. It was a good learning experience for me and learned very quickly that wrestling isn't as 'fake' as you'd think. Soon afterwords, I accepted a offer to come to APW, under the name 'Ivy'. It was an interesting gimmick as I got to act like a high-class super model who felt she was better then everyone else because of her beauty and being rich. I wrestled a few matches, and into like my 5th match I believe it was. I botched a Missile Dropkick and landing wrong on my ankle. I basically rolled it and put all my weight on it. I was very fortunate to have finished the match and I was in alot of pain. Later I learn from the doctor's that I had torn almost ligament in my right ankle. And would obviously have to require surgery. Because of the significance of the injury. I was out for the remainder of 2008. And.. since I was new to the company. I was released within' a couple of months as they didn't wanna wait for me to get better.
Months went by, and I was working my way back to making a return when I received a phone call from the front offices of Toronto telling me they was letting me go to cut back on costs. Despite being released, I continued my training and worked out everyday to make my ankle stronger. Around December, just before New Year's. I heard that XWA was hiring new superstars. So for me, it was now or never and I decided to jump on board and sign a contract with XWA. Where I'll be wrestling under the name, Veronica Leveaux. And well.. the rest is history I guess (laughs).
* Gimmick: Well.. I'm most certainly not a self-centered 'Diva' like I was in Toronto. I'm the type now that kinda goes with the flow and laid back. But if someone steps on my toes, there gonna pay for it. Cause I don't take crap from nobody. I don't care if your starting out like me or one of the established Diamonds. You get in my face, and your getting smacked.
* Wrestling Style: A little bit of everything. I'm more of a well-rounded wrestler who likes to mix and match different styles. Its a good way to throw off my opponents as they don't know what I'm gonna do next in the ring.
* Gear/Outfit/Costume: Hmmm.. I think I'm gonna leave this one to your imagination
* Titles Held: None
* Biggest Win: Winning my first pro match in APW.
* Worst Loss: Hadn't lost a match yet.
* Favorite Type of Match: None in particular really.
* Favorite Moves/Holds: A move I call the "Chokebomb". Where I pick my opponent up and slam them down like a sitout Choke Slam. Another movie is called the "Ivy Spike". Its a modified Michinoku Driver.
* Finisher: Its called "Royal Mutilation". I wrap my arm around my opponents head, hoist them up into the air, and swing them around dropping them on there head. Its kinda like a modified Swinging DDT, that would be the best way to describe it.
* Biggest Allies: None
* Most Hated Enemies: None
* Favorite Wrestlers: Trish Stratus.. whom I consider the best women's wrestler ever. And also the late Fabulous Moolah. Even though I didn't get to watch alot of her matches in the 80's. I knew of her accomplishments and she is one the primary reasons why Women's Wrestling is where it is today. Had it not been for women like her laying the ground work out. I really don't think women's Wrestling would've evolved into what its become today.
* Wrestling Ambition: To prove that women's wrestling isn't all about 'T & A'. That us women can put on a good match just as much as the guys can. I think fans and these internet critics who 'think' they know the ins & outs of the business feel that we don't always put on good matches and that were just put out there to be eye candy. And.. I wanna prove to those ppl that you can be both eye candy, and also put on one helluva contest.
