These were the streets that Val grew up on, yet now he was to portray a man from Florence, he often wondered what if he would ever get to be one of those wrestlers with no gimmick needed instead of having to put on a cheesy Italian stereotype. "So I-a have-a to talk-a like-a dis?" he said aloud but directed at himself. Was it strange to have a 6' 5" bodybuilder talking to himself in this fashion? Maybe. Val continued on his walk the streets had changed a lot in his lifetime, stores there that weren't when he was growing up. "I remember that used to be a barbers now, nothing, not a new store just nothing." he said, before looking at the other stores. "I guess you leave for a while and things change." Val then looked into the window of a store, not at the things inside but simply because he could see his own reflection and it was as ever glorious "Now that I-a like." he says before grinning and checking himself out even more.
Then Val runs across the street dodging the cars much like he did growing up, naturally he scoped for cops before doing it as he couldn't afford to pay a lame fine, or to bribe them to forget about it. Normally an agent would deal with this but at this moment Val didn't have an agent. All he knew he was told to come to New York and wrestle for XWA. Val entered a little cafe that he remembered from his youth hoping that the owner didn't recognize him as he used to steal from it, all kids did that. Taking a seat he glance over at a waitress who noticed him and made it her mission to serve him. Val thought to himself 'being beautiful for the win' and he sent her a smiled just being polite is all. "What can I get ya?" she said Val looked at the menu briefly the cafe had moved with the times and some of the coffees he didn't know what they were. "I'll take an espresso please." he replied before taking a quick look around the cafe, then his eyes returned to the waitress he sat up straight and stretched to take a peak at her 'ass-ets' needless to say he was impressed.
The lovely view of the waitress from behind was replaced by the equally lovely view of her from the front, and Val was going to leave with her number. Val liked women but he was very selective he didn't just jump into bed with them. She smiled at him as she placed down his espresso. "Thank you." he said and he sent her a cheeky wink, the women fell for those deep beautiful brown eyes of his. "Ya welcome sweetie." she replied Val was certain that he stood a fair chance of getting her number but he was playing the long game and he didn't want to rush it. "So have you been around here long?" he asked. "I'm about as wet as you." she replied, Val looked a little puzzled. "You don't look like you are from around here, neither am I. I'm from Virginia originally." she added hoping that the confusion was cleared. Val laughed as he had grew up in Buffalo which wasn't too far away. "I'm from Buffalo, I feel a little bad that you think I am from far away." he replied pretending to be a little embarrassed. "Oh I'm sorry just your accent isn't as strong as those round here." she said with a guilty tone.
"Don't apologize, I guess moving town in my teens I picked up a mixed accent" Val said in an attempt to reassure her. At this moment another customer walked in and the waitress that Val could only assume was called Cassie from the name tag, had to go back to work. So he took a sip from his espresso and listened to her voice as she greeted "Hello, what can I get ya?"

I’ll just have a hot cocoa for right now please. I can’t really decide what I want right ‘bout now.
The man that had spoken was none other than Romeo Davis. The awards show was later on that day and well he decided to get a quick bite to eat before he would have to go pick up his suit for later on. He had a simple pair of jeans on and a black leather jacket on. Under the jacket was a custom design black t-shirt. He placed the menu down and stopped looking through for a moment. He looked outside the window. There was snow on the ground. This was something he never saw until coming to New York. He never experienced it back in California. He shook his head and gazed around the café. There weren’t too many other people in the area. There was another man seated at a table close to Romeo. He happened to look over as Romeo looked in his area. Romeo gave him a simple head nod and returned his attention to the menu trying to decide what he will order.

Val looked over again after returning the nod, he recognized Romeo. He hadn't seen him before in person but had seen him on TV. Val had seen XWA he was a fan of wrestling, and he had seen Romeo Davis the XWA Pure champion. Maybe one day he and Val would face off for it, but for now Val figured he could make some small talk as a fan. "You're Romeo Davis right? XWA Pure Champion." Val said aloud he didn't think to move a little closer to Romeo but luckily the cafe was nearly deserted, so no rush of fans for him pointing it out. Not that Romeo was trying to hide, he seemed to be casual.

Romeo heard the guy speak out and turned his head over in his direction.
That’s my name. Don’t wear it out. Ha ha, I’m just playin’. Why don’t ya come over here so we don’t have to keep talkin’ across the tables. Before I forget to ask, what’s your name bro?

Val picks up his espresso and walked over to the table and took a seat before offering his hand and saying "Val Ro-may-o, like the car but spelled exactly like your first name." Val took another sip of his espresso, and then a glance at Cassie boy he was smitten. "Sorry I didn't quite think before hollering at you from across the room, I imagine that sometimes fans can be a little pressing." Val said as he turned back to Romeo, and Val knew from his bodybuilding competitions that some fans, die hard fans were unbearable at times. "So what brings you to a nice little cafe like this?" Val asked before taking another sip of his espresso it was really good.

Well it’s nice to meet ya Val. It’s cool though ‘bout hollerin’ out over at me. I’m pretty used to it by now. I mean it was my rookie season in the XWA, but towards the end you get all these fans and everything. It’s cool, I kinda like it I guess I can say. It’s good to hear that you are a fan of mine Val.
The waitress returns with the hot chocolate. She places the cup before Romeo and gives a quick look to Val. Romeo smiles before lifting the cup up and taking a few small sips. Once it hit his lips, the warmth provided by the hot chocolate made Romeo feel much warmer than he was before.
I think she digs you man by the way. Ha ha. What brings me here eh? Well I have to pick up my suit in like an hour or so for the awards show that is happenin’ tonight. I figured that I had time so I decided to stop in and grab something warm to drink and possibly a bite to eat. What brings you ‘round these parts?

Val smiled before saying "I hope she does because I am liking her very much." then chuckling, then Val took a sip of the espresso he liked to savour these things. Then he thought about how he should answer the question? Be honest is probably the best way. "Well my teacher thought it would be a good place for me to come to, or rather return to. Then he said that I should be able to sign for XWA and wrestle around America and the world. Seems that Chris has high hopes for me in the XWA." he replied, Val was one of the seemingly endless bodybuilder types that the wrestling industry saw potential in. Val didn't want to be labelled as one of those so he certainly had a lot to prove, and bumping into a champion at the end of his rookie season was probably the best thing to happen. "So what is everybody like there, I hear stories about cliques and such but everyone is cool right?" Val said in a joking tone before letting out a slight chuckle.

So you’ve come to wrestle in the XWA. That’s cool man. It’s a great place to be. I believe that it is the top place to be. I was hesitant in joinin’ with this business, but once I signed the dotted line, it was the best thing that happened to me. I can see myself wrestlin’ here for the rest of my career.
He stops speaking for a moment so that he could take a sip from his hot chocolate.
This is a real good cup of hot cocoa. One of the best I have to say. Oh, my bad, to answer your last question, yeah the people in the XWA are cool. You get the occasional annoyin’ people that piss you off but other than that the people are cool. The guys are cool, but you know how we are, we get a little cocky at one point or another. The ladies are beautiful and also real nice. It’s just the best place hands down.

The door suddenly opens, and in walks a new addition to the XWA roster, Jimmy Vain. Wearing black shorts, Nike shoes, and a Metallica 'Ride the Lightning' t-shirt. He walks over and takes a seat behind Val Romeo & Romeo Davis. Not really recognizing them at first as XWA Superstars. Besides Vain was new to the company and hardly new anybody.
A waitress walks over and asks Vain if he would like something to drink:
Jimmy: Sure, Black Coffee would be fine, please. No sugar or cream needed.
The waitress walked over to get Jimmy his coffee, then brought it out to him seconds later:
Jimmy: Thank ya ma'am.
Jimmy sipped away at his coffee and couldn't help but evesdrop over the conversation Val & Davis were having:
Jimmy: Excuse me.. I don't mean to be rude or anything, but are you guys from XWA ?

Val looked at Jimmy and he seemed familiar, growing up Val watched nearly all wrestling promotions was a wiz at setting up the VCR so he didn't miss a thing. Now he still checked them out from time to time. "Hey, I remember seeing you wrestler before. I was in the crowd. Your promos were pretty intense but then you seemed to disappear for a while?" Val said but then he thought about Jimmy's actual question. "Oh sorry, to answer your question, I am hoping to sign and this is Romeo Davis soon to be Rookie of the year." Val added before again taking a look in Cassie's direction and this time she caught him, so he fired a wink at her and she returned it. Taking the final sip of his espresso he decided that it tastes so good that he'd have another. Also he wanted to continue talking with Romeo and was interested in hearing Jimmy's story.

Jimmy: Nice.. good to hear I have a fan . You probably saw one of my old Toronto matches. That's the only other place I've worked at. Like yourself, I'm new to XWA and looking to get off to a good start in the X-Gen Division.
Well, long story short. Things just didn't work out for me there. So.. after I was let go by the company. I went back into training and took a few indy booking's around my home state of New Jersey.
Any plans for the upcoming season, Val ?
As Vain asks Val before taking another sip of his coffee. The coffee was delicious.

Ha ha, thanks man.
Romeo took another sip of the hot chocolate before responding to the new man that joined in on the conversation.
Hey bro, yeah I am from the XWA. As you told Val, you are also lookin’ to join up with the XWA. Smart move man. It’s a good place. By the way, what’s your name?

Yeah man, I’m real proud of myself. I don’t know. It’s an award for the hard work that I’ve put in all season. I never backed down and kept pushin’ myself to be that much better. It really is a high achievement I believe. With the Pure title on the line the match can only be Pure rules. You have to be durable to last in one of them matches. Damn, the first on that I was in, ha, I was huffin’ and puffin’ cause ya’ can’t leave the ring for a breather. You just have to beat your opponent until they can’t kick outta that 1, 2, 3. But yeah, I’m not gonna bore the both of ya’ with that. So what do y’all two plan to achieve while in the XWA?

Val liked the idea of PURE rules seemed that title had honor to it, Val liked the idea of no rope breaks. Given his size though it was easy enough to drag people away from the ropes, once the nelson was locked opponents had hard time breaking it. Of course this was only training Val was yet to wrestle a proper match. "I guess my plans are to make an impression for the right reasons. I would like to say win a title but that may be ahead of myself. I know there is a lot of stiff competition around here." Val said before waving Cassie over, "Can I get another espresso please?" he said smiling at her. "Sure thing honey." Cassie replied, Val smiled as he watched her walk away "I think I'm in love." he said as he turned back to the others his eyebrows raised.
