Osh Vaugn's Profile...
* Height: 6'5"
* Weight: 267lbs.
* Hair: Platinum Blond
* Eyes: Steel Blue
* Hometown: Minneapolis, MN.
* Age: 39
* Years In Wrestling: 18
* Theme Song: Sevendust - Denial www.sendspace.com/file/3dh116
* How It Started: I got my 1st break in wrestling back in 1990. I was 21 years old, young, inexperienced and stupid. Just like most of these young kids today. It didn't take long for me to realize that if I wanted to make this my career, I needed to take my lumps, pay my dues and earn my stripes. I started out as your typical high flying 200 pounder, but as the years piled on, so did some much needed size. I eventually phased the high wire act out of my game and became a more ground based wrestler, but I'll pull one of my old moves out of the bag from time to time. 13 years in the game and I'm still on top of mines. XWA's the next chapter.
* Gimmick: I've had a few in my days, but right now I'm "The Equalizer". It's a tribute to a man I've met personally in my youth and have the utmost respect for, Bret Hart. I had the pleasure of meeting him early in my career while wrestling in Canada, and it left a lasting impression on me. So these days my Equalizer gimmick is a play on his "Hitman".
* Wrestling Style: My style's all about breaking my opponent's will physically and mentally. I don't do fast pace, I like to slow things down, work them over, and when they're at their breaking point, slap on one of the many submission holds I have and submit them. And if a guy wants to be bold, I'll just take that chosen limb home with me. "Kill the body and the mind dies." That's my in ring approach.
* Gear/Outfit/Costume: The same attire I've been wearing the last 5 years. Black long tights with some signature designs, wristbands, and boots. I get my shirts custom air brushed, but I've started wearing Ed Hardy shirts down to the ring lately. Then there's my signature sunglasses, again a tribute to Bret Hart.
* Titles Held:
VWA (Virtual Wrestling Association) - TV Title, Tag Team Titles, World Title
AMWA (American Made Wrestling Association) - Continental Title, World Title
MCW (Minnesota Championship Wrestling) - Mid West Title, United States Title, Heavyweight Title
XCWL (Xtreme Championship Wrestling League) - Nationwide Title, Tag Team Titles, Hardcore Title, World Title
HWA (Heritage Wrestling Alliance) - World Title
IIW (Intense Interantional Wrestling) - Intercontinental Title, Tage Team Titles, World Title, Heavyweight Title, Undisputed World Title
ICWL (International Championship Wrestling League) - Intercontinental Title, World Title
CLW (Champions League Wrestling) - Ring King Title, World Title
* Biggest Win: Unifying the IIW World and Heavyweight titles to become the company's 3rd ever Undisputed Champion. That was a big night for me.
* Worst Loss: A "Loser Leaves" match in XCWL. Of course you can imagine what the result was. I don't wanna talk about it.
* Favorite Type of Match: Submission Matches. I know more holds in my pinky then many of these guys know in there entire bodies. Submissions have become my forte, and I haven't lost a Submission Match in over 3 years, namely because no one is brave enough to face me in one.
* Favorite Moves/Holds: My personal favorite hold is the Triangle Choke. It's one of my most effective moves, and one I've used to make countless men (and women) tap out to.
* Finisher: The Equalizer. Simply put, the most devastating Brain Buster you'll ever see. Lift 'em up, let the blood rush to their heads, and make them 2 inches shorter then when they started the match.
* Biggest Allies: To many people to keep track of in 13 years. I've come across a great many people in my time in wrestling who I'd go to bat for. As far as XWA talent goes, Lionel Xander & Chris Cage. I helped those two get their break into the business, and have watched the mature into superstars. I stay in contact with them frequently, and Lionel's the reason why I decided to join XWA in the 1st place.
* Most Hated Enemies: Same story. I've had so many enemies it's not even funny. None in XWA yet, but that punk Scott O'Dell's been running his mouth about getting in the ring with me. I'll be taking him up on that offer soon enough.
* Favorite Wrestlers: Antonio Inoki, Shohei Baba, Mitsuhara Misawa, Bret Hart and so many others.
* Wrestling Ambition: To be remembered as one of the best technical wrestlers of all time.
Osh's Personal Notes...
Respect is lost in a lot of the new generation of wrestlers. They think that talent alone is what will make them famous. While this is true to an extent, Talent won't get you as far as you think. Because there will always be someone to come along who does what you do, but better. Talent makes superstars, respect makes legends. If you respect and honor those who came before you, you're bound for great things. My mission is to bring respect back to this business. A business I've devoted more then a decade to. It's time for these kids to start earning their stripes.
