Kayn’s Profile...
* Height: 7’2”
* Weight: 330lbs
* Hair: Black
* Eyes: Blue
* Hometown: Seattle WA
* Age: 27
* Years In Wrestling: 2 pro, 6 independent/underground
* Theme Song: “Hammer Smashed Face” by Cannibal Corpse
* How It Started: When I was growing up I was always a fan of “physical” sports, hockey football and of course professional wrestling. At about the age of 7 my father took me to a live wrestling event at the Seattle Center Coliseum (now known as Key Arena) and after that I knew that a professional wrestler was all I wanted to be for the rest of my life. I started playing football in grade school and by the time I reached high school I was standing 6’10” and weighed in at 268 pounds. As the only starting freshman on my high school football team, I still hold the record for most defensive sacks in a season. Also upon entering high school I joined the wrestling team so that I could get the technical background to start working towards my dream of professional wrestling. Right after graduation I started training and eventually joined a small underground wrestling federation in Seattle. I wrestled there for quite some time before making the move to the east coast for a slightly larger and more established federation. After being “underutilized” and basically made to job to their champion for what seemed like forever, I caught wind of a new federation called the XWA and I have been here ever since.
* Gimmick: I really don’t have a gimmick per say, I just go out there and do everything I can to give the crowd the type of match I would want to see if I were in the seats.
* Wrestling Style: Straightforward/smash mouth type wrestling
* Gear/Outfit/Costume: I like to feel comfortable in the ring, so I wear what I’m comfortable in. Jean shorts, sleeveless t-shirt and boots.
* Titles Held: I was the first XWA Combatant Xtraordinaire and the longest running Pure champion to date.
* Biggest Win: I’d have to say when I won the Pure championship would definitely be up there, however the biggest moral victory I have to say was at 2007 War Games where I lasted 20 minutes in the ring with Scott O’Dell in an ultimate submission match, which Scott chose, and didn’t tap once.
* Worst Loss: The beating I took at the hands of Nigel Sledge and Vikram in ’07. That was I think one of the hardest matches I’ve ever been in.
* Favorite Type of Match: Pure rules. I really like those types of matches since they prove who the better combatant truly is.
* Favorite Moves/Holds: My favorite moves are the out of nowhere Spear I have used to win a few matches for me along with the Spinebuster. That usually sets me up for my finisher.
* Finisher: The Final Nail powerbomb. I’ve used that to win many matches for myself, especially under Pure rules. I’m changing it up however to not make it a pinning move though.
* Biggest Allies: So far I’ve made a good number of friends in the business. Keith Wyle, XXL, Adam Devlin, Jon Payne, Ryan and Simon Fierhart are all men that I truly respect and I am honored to call them not only colleagues, but I would call them friends as well.
* Most Hated Enemies: I really don’t have any enemies, at least none I can think of.
* Favorite Wrestlers: My favorite wrestlers are also the men I mentioned earlier. Also one of the biggest influences in my career is my nephew Dante. In an era of gimmick type matches. violence and obscenities, I want to make sure that he has someone he can watch on TV in a sport that he loves as much as his uncle.
* Wrestling Ambition: To make a name for myself in the industry as well as giving the fans something to remember.
