[Syrus The Entertainer]

The Last Dance was a match that was fitting for the end of another exciting season. It came down in the end to STE and Scott O'Dell, inside of the ring for the fourth time in as many months. A man who's been to the top twice against a man who was on the steady climb. Syrus locked in a Camel Clutch near the ropes-a mistake by a guy who's not exactly the best submission wrestler in the world and it looked at times as if O'Dell would break the hold by reaching for them.

All Sy could do was crank back with every ounce of strength he could. Surprisingly enough, that would be all the difference...and after what seemed like an eternity, O'Dell tapped Syrus' knee signaling the end of the match, the end of the show and the crowning of a new World Champion. The fans exploded as the referee signaled for the bell and the iconic words began to play over the PA...

Can you dig it?

CAN YOU DIG IT!!??

CAAAAAAAAAAAANNNN YOOOOOOUUUUU DIIIIIGGGGGGGGIIIT!!!

The ref handed the man that fresh Platinum belt, and for a moment in time everything froze. The faceplate was pretty emphatically clear as to what he just accomplished. World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion. The best of the best. Two years of hard work and dedication to the XWA fans and to himself, and now...the ultimate reward.

He climbed the top turnbuckle as he always does and raised his fist to the air like he always does, but this time that fist was filled with the strap of the World Title. Confetti was falling from the rafters and the fans were still cheering the fact that one of their faves had now reached the highest level. He could help but smile after he soaked in the chants from the thousands in attendance.

BuZZ: Syrus wins! Syrus The Entertainer has become the new XWAWorld Champion! These fans are absolutely electrified!Roach: It was a match that could have gone in any which way. As we look at the replay here, you can the passion, you can feel the urgency in Syrus' face as he cranked that submission on O'Dell. It was too much for him to reach for the ropes and break the hold, and there you see the tapout...marking STE's first title in the XWA.

BuZZ: You know that O'Dell is going to want another shot at this man. That's now unofficially four times that Syrus has been on the winning end against him. Nobody in the XWA has more wins over The Franchise than the new champ!

Roach: That's quite an honor to have in and of itself, but as we see Syrus going back up the aisle now, I don't think there's any honor he holds higher now than being the new XWAWorld Champion. Scott O'Dell, Jon Payne, Keith Wyle, XXL, Ethan Bain, Robby Sylk and now Syrus The Entertainer joins the list of men who've reached the top of the wrestling universe! What a finish to 2008...these men and women really did "Save The Best For Last."

The final scene of the televised broadcast was Syrus holding the belt up high with both hands at the top of the XG2 stage...the fans still chanting the man's name. Now it was time to relish in victory and prepare for what was going to be in store for him next...

Not too soon after the show ended, Fabiola emerged with a camera rolling (well, not actually rolling, since it was digital ) to speak to the new XWAWorld Champion.

Syrus! Syrus...just had a few question for you. First off, congratulations on becoming a first time XWAWorld Champion. You're on a pretty illustrious list now. I just wanted to inform you in case hadn't known this yet that this is now the fourth time that you've been on the winning end of a match in which Scott O'Dell has competed in, and this is the third consecutive victory you have over him. Nobody's ever done that before! What are your thoughts on that?

[Syrus The Entertainer]

What's it to me?

He started to answer, breathing heavy between his words.

You've got guys like who are a little tired of hearing about how great certain individuals are. It's not like already don't know that a man like Scott O'Dell's a world class athlete and one of the best of the game to have to hear it everytime he got the chance to say it. I don't think that he thought that I was on his level. Just an "entertainer". You could say the same for one other guys who's pretty damn world class who just like Scott, I beat three times in row...MVS.

It's like Deja Vu. Both of 'em underestimated the skittles, and both of 'em paid for it in the end. I told you that I was gonna bring it. I told you that I was gonna crank dat up to 111%, and I guess they didn't hear me. Well...you hear me now, don't you? Pedigree don't matter as much as passion does...and it's one who's got the most who comes out on top. Tonight in The Last Dance that was me, and I'm gonna see to it that nobody has more than me in 2009 either, whether it's Scott, Magnus, or anyone else who wants some!

[Fabiola]

Well, obviously you're different from a lot of other superstars here. It really is more about the entertainment for you, right? That's not going to sit too well with the traditional types who're all about the competition aspect of it. You've already heard guys like Bryan Jasta say that they were going to be going for that title in 2009. Right now, you're the man...but you've got the proverbial bullseye on your head.

Do you have anything so say to the "hunters"?

Yeah. STE ain't no one-hit wonder. He's the whole catalogue...believe that! I'm going to do what I do, nothing different...cuz what I do is pretty damn effective. If I'm the man who's standing in the way of someone else becoming the World Champ, then they're gonna have to bring it strong if they want it.

You better damn well believe boys, that ain't gonna be easy. It's gonna be lights, camera, action! See, I'm a little different...you're right Fabs. I'm sport AND spectacle!!! Ain't no getting ready for me. Ain't no strategizing or scouting. You get in that ring and you let it rock! You put on the showcase and if that's good enough to beat me, more power to you, bruthas!

But don't sleep...that's as much as I can say...don't sleep. If you do that, you will be going down for the count, looking up to the rafters and seeing stars. That's what's up...

[Fabiola]

Well, I don't want to keep you from the obvious celebrating you've got planned for the night. We are in LA after all. Just one more question for you. What're you looking forward to the most for the XWA's third season?

Getting back into that ring and putting on a show for the fans of course! And just as important, showing anyone who wants to find out for themselves that not only does the STE please the crowd, he whoops the ass too, and as always he looks damn good doing both!

Now, you're right about the celebrating Fabs. All the pretty women in my car, let's GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

It was all smiles for him right now. Poignant points were made though, but there'd be plenty of times to really focus on the potential challenges that would await for the new champ. He continued his walk down the halls of the Staples Center, getting congrats from people along the way towards his locker room.

Next up to enter the scene was the current Pure champion Romeo Davis. He saw the Last Dance match and what an ending it was. Scott O’Dell was on the brink of capturing the world title for the third time but STE made him tap-out gaining him the world title strap. He walks up to STE first.

Man, Syrus that was a good match. Congrats on winning the big one and leaving XGames a couple pounds heavier.

Romeo then turns over to Keith Wyle.

Keith looks on as Romeo steps up to him

Patting him on the shoulder he waits for Syrus to catch his breath he did just finish a 5 star match against 3 other great competitors...

I’ve been good man. You know just doin’ my thing in the ring. I’ve haven’t seen ya in the ring for a bit now? What happened bro?

Romeo waits to hear a response from either Keith or STE.

Just so slightly, Syrus began to catch his breath and the adrenaline of the night was starting to go down.

I'm good right now, ya'll...real good. This is like living the American Dream! Damn good feeling having this baby with me...like I finally made it to the big time. Well shoot...STE's always been big time, but this bad boy kinda seals the deal.

He brushed off the faceplate of the title, noticing that it still had Sylk's name on it.

Gonna need to get me a new one though. Wonder if they'll let me have a purple strap?

[Keith Wyle]

I don't know...I tried get them to get a tiger print strap...no dice

Yea about the ring I got injured like a couple of months back and I had to sit out the rest of the season...bah it's no big deal I'll be back next season better than ever..like the Six-Million Dollar Man...just richer

Damn. It's all good though, this bad boy's nice just the way that it is. So what ya'll gonna be up to? I need to know where the parties are gonna be tonight! We're gonna make like the Black Eyed Peas and get retarded!!!
