A "Sensational" Show (Invitation)

So, it was XGAMES2 from Los Angeles, and it looked as if both of the male components of Viewer Discretion were going to be in action, so the lady they call Baby figured that it was about time that she got in on it herself. The PA system in the Staples Center begins to play Nelly Furtado's "Promiscuous", and she steps out from backstage walking confidently.

Rose: Well, the last time we saw this blonde, female portion of Viewer Discretion she was in the ring trading pleasantries with the now new Pearl Champion, Amber Gianni. I wonder what she's heading to the ring for now?

Lucy: This is VD's home town after all. I didn't think that a woman like her would pass up on getting back into the spotlight, especially the LA spotlight.

That spotlight was now on her as she strutted into the ring. One hand was on her hip and the other firmly grasping a microphone which she was about to speak into.

Los Angeles...I'm Hoooooooome!!!

Most of the male fans sounded happy to have her back.

What would this place be without me? I mean, seriously? I've been kicking back and seeing exactly how the XWA's Diamonds conduct their business and I really have to say that most of them...(shakes her head) are lost causes. Like they're stuck in a perpetual state of boredom!

Robby was so right about this joint. Prudes. Nothing but prudes who're too interested in being "the best female wrestler in the world" instead of just plain being "female". But it's all good people, it's all good...because you've got girls like me who're going to set things straight around here.

Now, I was talking to another girl back there who thinks just about the same way that I do about the state of things here, and it dawned on us...why not show everyone how it should be done together? She's already proven that she can do *ahem* whatever it takes to succeed, and still do it looking better than 95% of the competition...if you can even call it that. Right about now, I think I'll bring her out here. You know her, you love her...Venice Beach's own...and former Diamond Champion...Channelle!

Rose: What? Channelle? Did I just hear that correctly?

Lucy: Birds of a feather really do flock together then, don't they? Channelle's as egotistical as they come...pretty fitting that Baby gets along with her. Are all these California girls like this?

[Channelle Valencia]

That was a good question that Lucy had posed, as now the sound of Channelle's theme began to play just on cue as Baby introduced one of the most successful and equally most despised women in the XWA. It was clear that she wasn't at all down from not winning The Devil's Playground. It was also pretty clear now that these two women had some plans all their own that were probably in only their best interests and not anyone else's.

She stepped into the ring and met Baby with one of those annoying air kisses. Both of them grinned from ear to ear as Channelle with a mic of her own now began to speak.

Baby, you're so right. Sooooooooo right. Just looking at the two of us in this ring standing side by side has got to be the greatest thing that any of these people have seen in a long, long time. For damn sure it's the greatest thing that the Diamond Division has ever seen.

A division that I all but owned for a good long time this year, shutting up a couple of nobodies by shutting them down in this ring the only way that I know how to do it...well. And you all must've thought that I was going to have something to say about the Playground, didn't you? Well, I did actually...but it doesn't matter much now does it? You see, contrary to popular belief...I do think of other people. That's why I'm going to let those four little girls play around for the title tonight...and when I want it back, I'll take it back just like *that*!

She snapped her finger to demonstrate how easily she thought to herself that it would be to reclaim the belt she considered to be hers for the taking.

Tonight though, tonight is all about having ourselves a little fun at someone's expense. Isn't that the most fun way to do it after all? The only question is who is going to be the victims? I saw a couple of girls backstage, and I'm pretty damn sure that they're watching this and thinking that they're just going to duck. Just sit it out because they don't want any part of me. Just play it quiet and end the year without getting their ass kicked.

Channelle shook her head.

I don't think so! Not going to happen ladies! Tonight's the night that you either put up or shut up, and you all know that I'm good for one and will never do the other in my life. I'll let you figure out which is which...

Before Channelle could continue to talk about her favorite subject a more than familiar theme begins to play that gets the fans onto their feet...

[Jamie Fury]

That theme was the one belonging to the former Diamond Champion, Jamie Fury. She stepped out onto the set to a roaring ovation from the crowd. Looking out to the masses around her, she gave an approving nod to them and waved her free hand with a smile on her lips, right before she put the mic she had in her other hand to them.

I've heard as much as I've had of you Channelle, and that's enough in either case. I'm not going to come out here and try to deny what it is that you've done this season, but I'm not going to play it up either...and do you know why?

Because of all the things you've done this year, beating me wasn't one of them.

Jamie paused for a second to let that fact sink in.

That's what made winning the Diamond Title that much for fulfilling for me. The fact that not only did I do it, I did it by beating one of the biggest, most annoying mouths in this entire company. It could've been a triple threat against Heather Fierhart and Ashley Diamond and it still wouldn't have been as "special" as the fact that I made your champagne wishes and caviar dreams come crashing down around you. You would think that might have...just a little bit...brought you back down to earth, but what was I thinking?

She then pointed towards the ring, and more specifically towards the newcomer, Baby.

Besides, now you have a new friend it seems who's got your head right back up in the clouds. Baby, you sure do talk a big game for someone who hasn't seen any action yet. You wait up until the last show of the season to make your debut, claiming that the two of you are going to "set things straight"? I don't think you have any idea who or what you think you're dealing with, but tonight you're going to get a formal introduction courtesy of The Diamond Dominator...and one of her most "sensational" friends!

And then, a familiar flute fades into the PA speakers. The fans begin to roar one more time...

[Amber Gianni]

...It was Bonobo's "Pick Up" in their ears, and yes...it was the still reigning Pearl Champion Amber Gianni in their eyes, and what a treat she was, wasn't she? ;D She sassed her way onto the stage, standing right next to her exotic looking, Amazonian built friend, leaning herself onto Jamie's shoulder. Fury looked on to the ring and smirked as she leaned her mic in Amber's direction, which she graciously accepted with her dainty digits.

Baby, Baby, Baby. It's been a while, hasn't it? It is nice to see that you're making friends though, but I think that you probably could have chosen a better one than her. Whatever happened to those other two who were riding your coat-tails anyway Channelle? If history serves me correctly, that woman seems to have a habit of leaving her associates high and dry. Anything to get ahead of the game, huh Chan? Can I call you Chan...Chan?

She teased the camera with that signature grin of hers, as seductive as it was innocently cute.

So you two are going to set things straight, huh? Now, that would imply that there's something that needs setting in the first place, and personally I don't think that's the two girls standing on this stage, do you Jamie?

Fury shook her head to say "no".

No, I think we're doing just fine. Jamie Fury...The Diamond Dominator, one of the best female wrestlers on the planet AND if I may say Jamie...pretty damn hot.

Amber poked Jamie's broad shoulder like one would touch a warm pot.

Ouch, scorching! And then of course, me! Amber Gianni, Pearl Champion...coming off of my first defense against yet ANOTHER woman who's not only easy on the eyes, but could probably kick your heads clean off. Sonya Robbins would have huge targets dealing with you two, that's for sure.

So, in more ways than one girls...what you say about the rest of us isn't all true now, is it? Yeah, I'll agree there are some Diamonds who probably need surgery to get their heads out of their asses, but we sure as hell aren't them. No, tonight...we're going to be the ones breakin' our foots of in yours!

The crowd pops as Amber handed the mic back to Jamie...would the two blondes in the ring have something to say back? Probably.

[Channelle Valencia]

It was two thirds of The Sensationals who had emerged. The fans were quickly on their side now, which made Channelle scowl hard in their direction.

If it isn't the media darlings, Amber and Jamie! You know something, for a long time I wondered to myself just how it is that you became sooooooooooooo popular. It's pretty easy now that I think about it. The only thing you two have ever done in your lives is play up to these idiots fans in these arenas, the idiot media, or the biggest community of idiots in the universe...the internet! It must be so easy just saying whatever will make these people happy, isn't it?

Continuing her bitter musings, she inched closer to the edge of the ring close to the stage to eyeball the two brunettes.

There's a whole lot of things different about you and us, girls...and it's not just our hair color.

She twirled a lock of her blonde mane and grinned a bit herself.

You two have made your living trying to make the people happy. Trying to make to world love you. Us? We treat this world like it is...a playground. Our own little box of sand where we do what we want to who we want, and don't regret a thing. Unlike you, we don't give a damn what anyone thinks of how we do what we do!

Channelle looked back in Baby's direction now.

In fact, we think that's it's more fun when people don't like what we do...because there isn't anything that they can do about it!

Jamie, you must've been on something if you thought beating me was going to be enough to knock me off of my pretty lil high horse. Yes, you did "dominate" that night, but tonight's a different night. Tonight, I don't think you're as dominant as say you are. Hell, if you were then you'd still be the champ tonight instead of what's-her-name?

Baby and I will prove it in this ring tonight, and if you want to tag along Amber, that's fine by me. It's not going to be caviar dreams, girls...it's going to be The California Dream. Baby & Channelle...official as of tonight, are going to be your new nightmare.

[Jamie Fury]

I was expecting for you to say something like that Channelle.

Jamie was the one scowling for a brief moment now after Channelle's rebuttal and mentioning of the outcome of the Diamond Devil's Playground.

But Tanden Fearse knows it just as much as I do, you do and everyone who saw that match does that she was only three seconds better than me that night, and I was only three seconds short of walking out of the Playground with the title intact. It took a leap of faith to keep me down when everything else that she tried didn't work.

That's the kind of athlete, the kind of competitor that I am. That's who you're going to be dealing with tonight. If you take anything from that match, it should be following the new champ's example and throwing all caution to the wind. If you're really about doing whatever it takes as you like to say Channelle, then you'd better believe that we're going to put that to the test.

She handed the mic right back to Amber now, looking even more ready for action than before.

[Amber Gianni]

And as far as the two of us making these people happy, well...you're damn right that's what we do!!!

Amber got off another big pop from the appreciative fans.

If there's one that I've always had a knack for it's being a crowd pleaser. Whoever came up with the line that you can't please all of the people all of the time turned in their grave when I stepped onto the scene, because that's what I've done since day one, and my girls Jamie and Marisol are doing it just as well, Channelle.

Sounds to me like you're just a little jealous!

She smiled playfully towards the ring.

I don't blame you though. Look at you two! You are a couple of hot tomales after all. Pretty smoking yourselves I do have to say...but even with those glamorous looks, who do these people love the most?

Their cheers for Amber more than answered the question.

That right there is the ultimate satisfaction. Well...no, I can think of something else that's a little more satisfying, but that will be for later on tonight. Anyway, we wouldn't give that up for the world. If you've got a problem with that Chan, that's exactly what it's going to be then...your problem. I think I can speak for Jamie in saying that we're just fine having things the way they are with ourselves, thank you very much.

She lowered her mic now, waiting for the eventual response from either inside the ring.

You won't be saying that later tonight, Amber honey. You definitely won't be very happy with what happens then, believe me.

Baby jumped back into the conversation. She paused for a moment, looking around to the crowd, then continued.

Looks to me like we've got two brunettes versus two blondes, don't we...and you do know that thing they say about blondes and fun, right? It looks like tonight we're going to have to show just how true that all is. There isn't going to be anything to be jealous about, because we're going to get our way, and you're just going to have to get out of the way.

Any questions? Didn't think so!

And before anything else could be said, Baby's theme begins to play just as it did at the beginning of this scene. More looks were shots from the ring to the satge and final words spoken off mic as the two pairings would now get ready for one encounter.
