The Staples Center comes alive as Flyleaf's "Red Sam" cues over the PA.
Ring Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, Los Angeles' own, and STILL the XWA Onyx Champion, ANJELYKA!
The fans cheer as Anjelyka steps from backstage, the Onyx Title held high over her head. Anjelyka plays up being in front of her hometown fans to the tee, as she gives high fives on the way down to the ring. All smiles, she climbs the ring steps and hoists the title up once more. The fans continue to cheer her on, as she enters the ring and is handed a mic. Soaking in the adoration of her fans, she stands for a moment before starting her address.
In case you missed it the 1st time...and STILL your XWA Onyx Champion...ANJELYKAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
A pop from the crowd ensues. After a few more seconds of cheers, Anjelyka's able to speak again.
I'm never one to gloat...well...maybe just a little. But I try not to. Not when a win means taking away someone's livelihood. But I have to say that I am more then happy...no...THRILLED with the fact that I sent that whiskey swilling loud mouth Rachel Dawset packing. So shamed was she that she got her ass kicked in grand fashion that she slinked her ass out of the arena without even so much as giving a fair well address. I mean, I'd have at least boned up and gave a parting statement before I left. But that just goes to show that she's the same kind of person out of the ring as she was in it...useless. I know you're watching back home on the ranch right now, Rach. Wherever you end up working next, know that for all the smack you talked week in and week out that I did this to you. Me. I'm the woman who ended your XWA career. So think about that the next time you decide to show your mug in a wrestling organization again, because just as easily as I sent you to unemployment, someone else can as well.
With a confident smirk, Anjelyka pauses before continuing.
But enough about old news. Let's talk about the present. Here and now, XGames II here in the City Of Angels. To any of you folks watching at home that don't know, this is where I was born. The city I take my ring name off of. I wrestle as Anjelyka, but I was born Angelique Pilar De Castro, raised in East LA by a Mechanic and a Hair Dresser. My family still lives in the same neighborhood, and trust me when I say I have not, nor will I ever forget my roots. Which is why I a proud to be standing in this ring, in my home town with family and friends in attendance, to compete in Staples Center for the 1st time in my career. I've spent the last three years wrestling in Japan before making my way here to XWA. I've seen some of the best female wrestlers in the sport lay it on the line like none in the business. Which is why I'm proud to call myself Onyx Champion. It's a title that has lineage to the former PTW Lady Of Wrestling Title. A title that was created with the spirit of Joshi Wrestling. The woman that carries this belt represents a different style of wrestling. A pure style, seeing as it's our equivalent to the Pure Title. And seeing as I now have four defenses under my belt, that means I get to call my own shots. I get to choose who I want to face. And who I want to face is quite simple.
Anyone who's feelin' froggy.
The crowd roars.
There are a lot of you chicks backstage howling, pissing and moaning about not getting exposure. Or not getting opportunity. Well here you have it. An instant title shot. All you have to do is walk down from the locker room, grab yourself a mic, come out to the stage and accept my challenge. It's so easy a caveman could do it...no offense to any cavemen in attendance. *Giggle* So who's it going to be? Someone. Anyone. Doesn't matter if you wrestled 2 shows ago or two months ago, I don't give a crap. If you want your shot to be a champion, here it is.
The crowd cheers with baited anticipation as they, as well as Anjelyka await the potential challenger.
