Nothing drastic, so don't worry. This is just to explain the procedure of which we'll be taking in CAFS. Unfortunately for us, THQ neglected to include the ability to copy CAFs as you can CAWs, so we'll have to make every CAF submitted from scratch. I would say that only about 40% of the roster will be using CAFs, but that's still a lot of moves to keep up with regardless. So I'll explain how we intend on doing so.
When we open up 2009 registration, the familiar board will be erected, Profile and CAW registration. In CAW Reg, there will be the familiar Finisher thread, but it will be the Signature/Finisher Thread. Here is where everyone will list the 2 moves they have as Sigs as well as finishers. A template will be provided for CAFs in the 1st post. If you use one, simply copy & paste the template to you post, and list the complete formula for your move. Animations and speeds. To protect you move from being plagiarized, the CAW Reg Sig/Finisher thread will only be viewable by XWA members, not guests (Because I know that last thing you want is to see you CAF being used by Joe Shmoe in another fed).
As far as CAFs go, if you use one, it becomes your PRIMARY finisher. There will be NO CAFS used as secondaries. So if you forgo your 2008 finisher a CAF, you relinquish your ownership of you 2008 primary, and it becomes your Secondary. Should a new member come in and use that move as a Primary, you lose it all together and must choose a new move. This is done so that the decent non-CAFs are open to any who do not choose to use CAFs. This doesn't include "Abstract" moves like the 99 Crusher, which is available as a normal move, sig AND Finisher. But if you forgo The Batista for a CAF, it becomes your Secondary, and if a new character comes in and uses it as their primary, you lose the move. The following is quick list of the moves included in this rule:
The F-Us (All 3)
The Pedigrees (Both)
The Celtic Cross
The Batista Bomb
The Cylcones (Both)
Twist Of Faith (Both)
RKO (Both)
Sweet Chin Music (All 3)
The 619 (All 3)
Tombstone (All 3)
Also, there will be some moves that are NOT permitted to be used as Primaries. These moves are The Lionsault (Pinning and Non-pinning) and ALL Chokeslams and ALL Spears. Secondary of Signature only, and they fall under the rules of 2008, in that only 2 people of each gender can have the move. And if you don't have it in 2008, you're not getting it in 2009 unless those that already do, forgo the move for a new one. We would prefer that existing members keep their initial primaries and secondaries unless either switching to a CAF or if one of your moves are no longer on the game. We ask that you use your better judgment in your sig/secondary selection if using a CAF as well. There's nothing wrong with going outside of the box for a signature move (MG's in 2009 is the perfect example). That's it for now, and as usual we'll amend things as we see the need to during the course of the year.
