It was just a few quick seconds on tape, but inside of that ring encased in the chamber they called the Devil's Playground it felt like an eternity. Back and forth did she and Tanden Fearse go, trying to get the pinfall that would've ended the match. Jamie was down and kicked out from yet another pin attempt, but before she could get back up Fearse was on the top turnbuckle flying down on top of her with a moonsault, and that was it.
Everyone who stepped into that chamber was feeling it's effects. Jamie's body was aching as she stood in the shower. Warm water was cascading over her muscles which we so sore right now she had to use the rod on the wall to support herself.
As she towels herself dry, she made her way over to the bed in her hotel room. This was going to be the last night in Texas before XGAMES. XGAMES2. What was going to happen there? She had plans for another title defense of course, but now it was safe to say her itinerary was changed. She pulled the covers over herself and laid there, letting her muscles relax. Staring up into the ceiling, she thought to herself that the website was probably going to want some kind of interview or comments from the former champion.
Always thinking ahead, she thought with a smile on her face. Even with the events of the night, even with being without the Diamond Title, Jamie was still positive. The season might be winding down, but it's still just another day.
What awaits when she wakes up is for another day.
