Just did a 4 way ladder match, where all 4 participants did not "race up the ladder". It was a very entertaining match. Infact, I may just post a match to show you guys that ladder matches will be different for 2009.

I take it that these four guys didn't have the ladder match ability. Those who do are pretty much invincible in ladder matches. I would know, because I have a couple guys who use the ability, and they're virtually unbeatable in the match accept against another caw with the same ability. It pretty much becomes a race between the two caws to get the object down at that point. So my suggestion to EVERYONE in XWA is to pick your battles wisely when deciding to have a ladder match. If you're going up against anyone who has the ability (Namely a vast majority of the light heavyweights that I know will use the ability), be prepared to lose.

Actually, I believe one of them does have the ladder ability if I remember correctly. He, however, did not win. Saying that one who does have it is virtually unbeatable is...detable. Perhaps in a 1 v 1 match yes, but in a match like a Fatal 4 way, luck still plays a factor.

That's what I meant, one on one ladder matches. Anything past 2 caws is a crap shot as usual. It comes down to who climbs the ladder last in those matches. But in one on one ladder matches against a caw who uses the ability, it ain't pretty if you don't have it yourself.

In the one I simmed, Seth ( who has the Ladder ability ) tugged on the title till the very last moment, then was interupted, then Michael climbed the ladder and tugged at the title, the ladder was removed from underneathe, he hooked himself onto the title and dropped down.

Just to clear things up, there will be very little 1 on 1 ladder matches next year. If I have any say in it (And I do) there will NO one on one ladder matches. That's what TLC matches are for. Ladder matches will be reserved for titles involving more then one challenger, at the champions discretion seeing as the XWA Multi-Person Title match rule will not apply in the match, whoever snags the belt becomes the champion, and the former champion can name their rematch anytime within 3 shows of losing the title as normal.
