A PURE Challenge (o2 FIRST person)

[Romeo Davis]

As the crowd in the Tokyo Center anticipates what will happen next, Romeo’s theme begins to play throughout the arena. The crowd stood to their feet and began to cheer for the XWA Pure Champion. He pushed the black curtain aside and makes his appearance onstage. He was sporting blue jeans, a white beater, and on his feet a pair of beige Timberland boots. What he was also sporting was the Pure Championship around his waist. Once onstage he paused for a moment. He unbuckled the title from his waist and raised it high over his head. The crowd erupted at the sight. Romeo then walked down the ramp high fiving the fans on the way down. He entered the ring via the steel steps and picked up the microphone that was left in the center of the ring for him. He placed the title on his left shoulder and lifted the microphone to his lips.

"WHAT UP HOUSTON, TEXAS???"

The cheers were louder than ever after Romeo asked the question. He waited for a moment for everyone to calm down before speaking again.

"We are finally here at Devil’s Night. Damn what a night it’s gonna be. I really don’t have ta say anythin’ cause I know y’all already know what the main event is gonna be. The Devil’s Playground. A chamber is gonna be lowered above six men. They are gonna go at it until there is one man and that man is gonna be the XWA World Champion. Damn is wish I could be in that match but it’s cool cause I got somethin’ on my shoulder right now that’s real important to me. That is the XWA Pure Championship. *The crowd cheers.* Yea I gotta tell ya that Magnus is no joke at all. He knows how ta throw down in the ring. I put my all on the line and picked up the 1,2, 3 victory. Now let’s get onto what I came out here for."

Romeo pauses for a moment. He then continues to speak.

"So here I was chillin’ out back just enjoyin’ myself waitin’ for a challenge for my Pure title and guess what happened? Nothin’, that’s right. So I got ta thinkin’ who I could wrestle here tonight for the title. I really couldn’t think out anyone so that is the reason why I’m out here. The point I’m getting’ to right now is that I am settin’ out an open challenge to anyone in the back that wants a shot at the Pure Championship. Now I don’t want everyone jumpin’ at once now. The first person ta come out here will get the shot. BUT, but here’s the deal. I don’t want to wrestle anyone in the back that hasn’t really been around for a while. I mean ya can’t just come out here and accept the challenge just cause it’s for the title. Seriously you gotta have been around. So yea, basically whoever wants the shot at the title make your way down to the ring so we can make this a match."

Romeo lowered the microphone to the side. He fixed the title on his shoulder and focused his attention to the stage area waiting for his challenger to make their appearance.

[Osiris]

Sonne plays, and Osiris makes his way out. He makes his way to the ring and takes a mic out of his coat pocket.

Osiris: I'm not sure if I meet your qualifications, but I challenge.

[Romeo Davis]

As Osiris gets into the ring Romeo begins to nod his head. He was someone that he could see wrestling and having a good match against. He listened to the few words that Osiris had to say before lifting the microphone in his hand to his lips.

"Well if it isn’t the big man Osiris. What’s good bro? Now ta answer your question, yea you do meet the qualifications man. You’re a good wrestler from what I’ve seen. I mean your match last week was pretty good bro. I do have ta say that this match has the capability to be a solid match. I haven’t really scouted you out so this should be a good one."

[Osiris]

Osiris:How interesting, I haven't done much for scouting you either. And thank you, your the first person ever to say that I am a good wrestler. And it sounded like you meant it. So again, thank you. And James and I may have had a good match, yes, but he is getting old and only came off of a injury. There was no way he was going to beat me. But not you. Your not coming back from a injury, your not getting to that age yet. So I expect more from you.

[Romeo Davis]

"Oh bro you don’t have ta worry ‘bout a thing. I mean I do have any injury right now but I’m not gonna let that affect me. I won the title with an injury and I’m sure as hell I can defend the title with an injury. It hasn’t kept me out of action and well I don’t plan on lettin’ it do that. Also to tell ya the truth age really doesn’t matter. It is just a number. You are just as young as you feel. Look at Dru and Simon. There are up there in age but they are still goin’ strong and still wreckin’ peeps in the ring. I mean I’m only 23 but I was just sayin’ that age is only a number man."

Romeo adjusts the title on his shoulder and brings the microphone back to its spot before his lips.

"So yea I said that you are a good wrestler and that this should be a good match. We really don’t know each other’s style so this could get pretty intense as the match goes on. I’m sure the fans are pretty excited that they get to see their Pure champ make his first title defense. I’m excited and also ready to go. This is a big moment for me here tonight and I’ll be ready to impress everyone."
