This...This isn't a playground. It's not fun. It's not a place where you can laugh and play. It's not a place where anyone WANTS to be. No... It's a demonic structure built so 6 men can beat each other to the bone to hold the most prestigious prize in wrestling today. It's a barbaric cage meant to break you mentally and physically. I know, it wouldn't sound to great to most, but I'm not like most. I'd enter first any day to get a shot at the top. No doubt about it. My work is set in stone, I know what I have to do to become the next World Champion. I just have to work my ass off, push my body passed the point of it wanting to stop and go even further.
The words echo while the screen remains black. There's no doubt about it, the voice belonged to Nathan Browne.
I realize I'm the underdog in this match...Hell, I'm the underdog in almost every match I take place in. What I do lack in body mass, I make up for in strikes and general knowledge of the ring. You can call me the underdog until you're blue in the face, and you'd probably be right, but just know that every underdog has their day. Mine comes the night of the most barbaric pay-pre-view of the year.
The screen lights up with a small highlight video of Nathan's career so far. It ranged from exchanging kick and punches with various opponents, the slamming the head of Micheal Xavier straight through a table via DDT. The video ends, and the screen returns to black.
I don't care what any of you have to say. I'm here to gain some glory and fight for what I've always dreamed of obtaining. XXL? He's felt the glory of being a World Champion. Robby Sylk? Glory of being a champ. Pollox? He too knows what it feels like to have the big strap around his waist. Same goes for Ethan and Brandon. They know what it's like to be champion. Me? I don't. I never have held anything prestigious before. Guess what, boys? I WANT IT. I WANT THAT GLORY. I want to feel like I'm king of the castle, and you're all my dirty rascals.
Call me power hungry...you'd be right. I feel it's my duty to become next World champion, and I'm not one to leave a duty unfulfilled. I could easily be considered rookie of the year, and to make that solid, I'll walk into the Playground empty handed, but leave with Platinum.
It's fact.
The final statement rings until it fades to nothing, and the video bursts into a blur of static.
