{{Cody Black is seen exiting the mens locker room when he's approached by Joe Beakmen. As usual, Beakmen was as candid ever in addressing him.}}

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey Cody!!! You're not gettin' away that easily, pal. For two weeks now you've been on the business end of a pair of ass kickings at the hands of Bryan Jasta. In your 1st match, he pretty much beat you senseless, and then last week in that Triple Threat match, he pinned your shoulders to the mat for the 1-2-3 yet again. One has to wonder if your strategy against him is a good one. You know, actually provoking the guy as you did 2 weeks ago?

{{Cody stops dead in his tracks. He turns to Beakmen and gives an angered scowl before he speaks his reply.}}

What do you want me to say, eh? You want me to come up with some kind of witty retort to get the fans going? Or for me to come up with some half assed excuse? Well I don't have either. The fact of the matter is exactly what you saw in the ring, Jasta beat my ass twice. Not once, TWICE. And I don't have anyone to blame but myself. I know I'm capable of competing at a higher level then I have been. But in the last two week, Jasta's opened my eyes to the fact that there's chicnks in my armor even I didn't know about. And I actually have to thank him for that. He's given me a lesson in why I've been doing this for 11 years. Bryan Jasta has lit a fire in me, and by the grace of the lord almighty, I'm going to beat him before the season is up.

So, does that mean you're actually challenging him again? Not to bright, dude.

Yea,tell me about it. But If there's one thing the fans, or anyone who knows me in this biz knows it's to expect the unexpected. Jasta doesn't have a damn thing to prove. He's kicked my ass twice. And both times in grand fashion. But if I'm gonna survive in this company, I need to make good and show the world that I'm as good as advertised. So yes, I'm callin' Jasta out again. Me and him. One on one. But this time, I want it to be something a little up both our alleys. I remember once him sayin' he was the best "Fighter" in XWA. That gets me to thinking. We know Jasta's a world class wrestler. We know his stand-up is the best in the business. Well how about we put that to the test tonight.

{{Cody turns his focus to the camera to speak to Jasta specifically.}}

You and me...Last Man Standing. TONIGHT. And one of two things will happen. Either you bash my head in again and show once and for all that you're the better man, or I bash yours in and show that in our last two fights I was just a lil' off in the game plan. The balls in your court, buddy boy.

{{Cody looks back to Beakman.}}

No go run and tell Jasta that I'll be waitin' for him in the ring.

{{With a smirk, Cody walks off and the segment ends.}}

A few segments later, We join Bryan Jasta backstage. The fans boo as his visage is seen on the Jumbrotron. He doesn't bat a single world in his response.

You've stepped into a world that very few men choose to venture in, Cody Black. A world that some of the so called "Best" have yet to venture in, and those that have met the same fate. Chris Lionheart. Sylas Styles. The Avenger. Adam Devlin. Evan Fate. Micheal Xavier. Nigel Sledge. I can go on and on. All of them are men who just like you, are proven competitors. Men that sleep, eat, and breathe this business...just like you. And they're also all men who have fell by my hand...just..like...YOU. You see Cody. It's one thing to talk about being the best. To run off at the mouth like these young boys talking about what they've done in this industry. I don't talk. I do. And ask any of the men I just mentioned, and all of the other men who I've left in my wake that If I'm the best at what I do, and they'll all say the same thing. Whether it be in words or expressions. You see, it takes a real man to admit when he's met his better. But there's that tingling feeling on the back of most men's necks when that happens. It's called pride. It only hurts...it never helps. And a man's pride is usually what does him in, especially in MY world.

You've challenged me to a Last Man Standing match tonight. And while I commend your initiative, I do question your logic. You've witness two times now what I am capable of. In a standard, fair, unbiased one on one contest, I opened your head up like a cantaloupe. And now, you want to step into a match that to this very day I've never lost? "More guts then brains" is definitely the story of Cody Black it would seem. But if that's what you want, who am I to deny a man his wish?

Cody Black. Tonight...Devil's Night 2008. I take you on a trip into my world. A living, breathing hell. A hell of a thousand deaths and a thousand kinds of pain that I'll sample to you in every shape, form and fashion. When I'm done tonight, you'll have pain in body parts and bones you never new you had. Tonight...we test your threshold. Pass and survive...fail and be destroyed.

Jasta's words were bleak and ominous. The camera slowly fades to black as Devil's Night returns to ringside.

Buzz: Jasta's in another place mentally these days. He was scary to begin with, but this rise of aggression in him has to be the most frightening thing I've seen in my years in wrestling.

Roach: All the credit in the world to Black for not backing down, but this is going to be an uphill fight for him, that's for damn sure. That match will be later tonight.

The next match would soon get underway.
