As seen on the XWA Website, Fabiola managed to catch up with Robby Sylk entering the backstage area just moments after a come from behind victory.
Fab: Robby! Robby...can we have a word? That was one hell of a comeback you just orchestrated out there. What are your thoughts now as we head into Devil's Night?
Robby was huffing and puffing heavy. Still favoring some banged up ribs, his response was labored but still as confident as ever.
What are my thoughts? Real easy, Fab. Rewind to Independence Day. Just like Devil's Night I stepped in there with five of what the critics would like call the best wrestlers in the XWA. On that night I said that I was going to rise above the best and be the man, and what did I do?
EXACTLY THAT!!!
Now, we have ourselves The Devil's Playgroud coming up, and one more time we have five other guys who think that they're good enough to walk out the XWAWorld Champ...and one guy who KNOWS he's good enough. It's all just going to be a bit of history repeating itself. You want proof? Look at tonight.
They say you can't keep a good man down. Well if that true then nobody is going to take me down, because Robby Sylk isn't just good my true believers...Robby Sylk is great. He's stupendous and tremendous, hmph...and that's just IN the ring. Troy, you had me gift wrapped and couldn't finish the job. The next time we meet, I'll be coming in fresh after watching you, Browne, Payne and Bain beat the crap out of each other, and all I'll have to worry about is the champ...
But I'll handle him. I'll handle all of you. I'll show you what it takes and what it means to be the best in the business today. Hell, I already am as far as I'm concerned...that title is all that I'm missing. But I'm taking it back, you heard that Luther? It's coming home with me...because all that I have to do to take it is something that I've been doing from the jump-off...something that I don't think any of you others blowhards can do right...
