He took a beating. A big one. He also gave a hell of a beating. But, just like before, could not do what was needed to be done to put Simon away. He couldn't understand why he wasn't able to do it. What was he missing? What was the missing link in all of this? Maybe there was something Simon could provide some....insight. He had to talk to Simon...Luckily for him, Simon was standing behind him in the backstage area. Michael turned around and looked at him.
What is it that I am missing? Why is it that I can't put anyone away? WHAT IN THE FUCK AM I DOING WRONG?! The anger seeping forth from him...Simon could feel it from where he was standing...

Simon responds.
You're doing it as we speak. You do it without even knowing you're doing it. Emotion is the strongest and most unstoppable foe you will ever face. And when you let it get the better of you, you've already lost. Wins and loses mean nothing in the grand scheme of it all. It's showing your worth as a fighter that matters. You could decimate your opponent of be decimated by him, but so long as you can roll out of that ring knowing you gave it your all, that's your victory in and of itself.

But I do give it my all. Everyone time I go out there, I give it my 100%. I put my heart and my soul into every match, into every move that I do. Every strike that you get, is from me by me. I don't know what else I have to do to prove that to you, but I will fight you to hell and back. I will show you that I am who I say I am!

Another response...
You're obviously not getting it. You say that you put your all into every match. That you fight to the greatest extent of your skill, and yet you still talk about having to prove yourself. If you fight to how you know you can fight, there is no proof needed. You've got the skill physically, Michael. What's lacking is the mental will to see beyond victory and defeat. You still feel you need to show the world that you belong. And because of this need, you make mistakes. Mistakes that people like Bryan Jasta and Nathan Browne have exploited and capitalized on in the ring. It's apparent that you need to see this with your own eyes. So if I need to do it with my own fists, so be it. Don't say you weren't warned.
He waits for the reply of Xavier.
