Promo Video Begins to Run. Showing various clips of Brandon Payne training in a local gym. Preparing for his match at Devil's Playground. The whole video is ran in black & white Sin City-esque color scheme. The only colors that are seen is red, from the blood dripping from the knuckles of Payne as furiously punches away at the punching bag. The intensity in his eyes showed no fear. He was ready for Devil's Night. Not even the depths of hell could stop him from walking in to the Devil's Playground and participating in one of XWA's most brutal matchups of the year.
As the video rolls on. Showing Payne training in various exercises (weight lifting, running laps around the gym, jump rope, running on the treadmill, etc). As this goes on, we hear Payne's voice being dubbed over the video. As we hear him discuss his match at Devil's Playground.
In life, those who fight with honor and pride are ones whom are most destined to achieve there dreams.
There's no secret. I've been chasing the dream for three years. I've been in many organizations. Fought under different looks, different alias', but there has been one major constant in my career. The will to be the best.
In my career. I've never been what people would call a saint. I've made choices in my career. Some were good, others were pretty bad. In the end, no matter what had happened. Things always worked out for the best. I've been hated by many in the industry, but loved by very few. Either way it goes, I always stuck to my guns and did what I do best. I came in night and night and gave each fans and wrestler a show to remember.
I've won championships in other organizations. Some may view me as a 'Glory Hog', others may view me as a legend in the making. I make no bones about it. I'm not wrestling in this business to win a popularity contest. I'm here to do what I do best, that's kick ass and take names. Win or Lose. I give it a 110% every night. Sick or Hurt, I love this business with a passion and would do anything for it.
At Devil's Night. I step into the ring with five individuals. Each with there own backgrounds. Each man possessing different abilities and skills. Ironically, I've been in the ring with all five. Some of them I've beaten, others I haven't. The chances of me walking out World Heavyweight Champion are slim at best.
All those men, for the exception of myself and Nathan Browne, have held the World Heavyweight Title in XWA. Any of us can easily walk out the champ at the end of the night. Luck of the draw plays a factor.
Whether I walk into the match as the #1 entrant or #6, it makes no difference. I'm going to walk in and prove to the world that I am more then just 'hype'. I am 4-Real !!!
At Only the Strong, myself and XXL stole the show. I came within' an eyelash of winning the World Championship. I was so close... I could literately taste the gold in my mouth.
But this time, I won't settle for close. At Devil's Night, I go for the jugular. This could be my last chance.. to me... this match is all or nothing. I have to train harder... be faster...stronger...wiser... then I have ever been before in my life !
I will do whatever means necessary to win the World Championship. Even if I have to put my own physical well-being at risk. If thats the price I have to pay ? Then so be it.
At Devi's Night, the world will be my stage... and I'm gonna be the show !
