Following the contract signing and ensuing brawl, XWA officials ordered MG and Sushi-X to compete at the Supershow. They could fight anyone on the roster under two conditions: they couldn't fight each other, and their prospective opponent had to be okay with it. Backstage, Joe Beakman prepared for an interview.

Joe: This is Joe Beakman for XWA reporting for the season finale Supershow. A wild scene just moments ago as MG and Sushi-X signed off on their match at Devil's Night... wait... let's get a word with one of the competitors. Hey! Hey! Sushi-X! What do ya think of the ladder... OOH!

Sushi-X, adrenaline rush still flowing through his body and all, grabbed the microphone and pushed Joe out of camera view.

This is how it's gonna be. Anyone...and I mean anyone! Champion or not! Heavyweight or X-Gen! Anybody looking for a fight tonight, step your game up!

Sushi unbuttons his suit and vest and undoes a couple of buttons on his shirt.

I'll do you a favor. I'll even let you call the match. So who gonna step their game up? You know who I am! I'm not hard to find!

Sushi-X takes off his suit and shirt and slams it to the floor. He then throws the mic at Joe, still down from the hard push Sushi gave him, then walks away.

Joe: Why do I have to be the one that gets abused?

just as Sushi left Steve Toreno arrived. he looked around, no Sushi and a free interviewer. and of course the challenge. sounds like the King Of Old School has another chance at redemption. Toreno rubs his head for a second before looking at Beakman,

It appears Mr Fish has issued a challenge to anybody. well somebody has just answered in a typical old school style. yes thats right Sushi i am answering your challenge, Why? because i need another shot at redemption. four losses in a row is looking really bad on my CV so you know facing you could turn that around.

Toreno points down the barrel of the camera.

But as far as the match type. well you know me. the typical old school match of course. what do you say? want to face a king on bad luck, or do you want to help change my luck. either way i have answered your challenge. so i expect to see you at Takedown Finale

Sushi-X looked back at Toreno and walked back toward him, Beakman still down.

So you the man, huh? Two things: about your four losses in a row: sorry about your damn luck...wait...who said that? I heard that somewhere...well, never mind. Second: old school works for me, brah. Just know that it'll be five in the red when I'm done with ya. You're on. See you in the ring.

Sushi-X could only smile and walk away as the King of Old School accepted the challenge.
