Never Enough (XXL/Kayn)

"Fire" by Jimi Hendrix began to play as Robby Sylk stood behind the curtain, ready to step out to the stage and do one of the things he did the best...talk. He was flanked down the aisle towards the ring by the same large man who had accompanied him at OTS...

Roach: Exactly what do we know about this guy who's showing up with SYlk nowadays anyway, Buzz? I mean aside from the fact that he looks like he's a mean, nasty individual.

Buzz: Well, Sylk told me personally that the guy's name is Breaker. That's about it. He said said all other questions would be answered when he steps into the ring.

Roach: And we all know how much Robby Sylk loves to inform us on things, now don't we? The second man this year to beat Kayn one-on-one this season, and one of the men chosen to enter that ominous structure called the Devil's Playground for the XWA World Title!

Who is Robby Sylk, really? Is he not the future of professional wrestling? Is he not the perfect combination of looks, style and skill? I mean...I would like to think so! Just look at last week, when I gained some get-back on Kayn at OTS! Was that not the coolest thing you've ever seen?

The fans answer booing as he paused. He shook his head and continued...

That's the reason why I never ask you knuckleheads anything. To answer your question Mr. Sylk...YES it was pretty damn cool! The man who at one point was undefeated, and now YOU are one of only two men who can say they've taken him down. Not Jon Payne...not Pollox Troy, not 10 other no-name nobodies who I wouldn't have remembered if I tried. Robby Sylk!!!

Is it any wonder why I am The GOLD* You thought it was some kind of clever marketing ploy or something? No, no, no, no...that's a fact ladies & gents, cats & kittens, set in stone fact!!! Now, we have Devil's Night coming up...and what that is for me is the chance to prove what should already be known by everyone in the back...that Robby Sylk is the leader of the pack!

They say that the match at OTS between Brandon Payne & XXL was a classic. Maybe the greatest XWA Title match of all time. I'm gonna beg to differ on that right there. The greatest XWA World Title matches are yet to come, people. The first will be Devil's Night 2008, when inside The Devil's Playground I will become a two-time, two-time World Champion! The second will XGAMES2, The Last Dance-when the only man to make it there twice will avenge last year and emerge victorious, closing the season out on top of the freaking world!!!

He pauses again, holding his hands up high as he lavish the potential of all of that happening.

But let's talk about tonight though. Tonight, we're supposed to start giving you all a preview of what's to come. But the problem with that is the fact that I'm still not quite done with the past! Kayn, all last week did was tie the series up between you and me...and if anyone knows me, then they know I'm not satisfied being as good as the next man. I don't want to be one of the only men to beat you...I want to be the only man to beat you twice! That's when it hit me. Why not have my cake and eat it too?

As much as he'd probably have loved to take a night off, XXL...champ...I want you in this ring here tonight, and Kayn...in a tag team match versus me and my new associate here, Mr. Breaker!!!

The camera gets up close to the cold and callous scowl on the face of this man called Breaker. His eyes are hidden behind dark shade, wearing a hat that covered thick curly hair. He looked like a man who really did enjoy his work...which was hurting people.

That's how it's going down gentlemen! Let's get the particulars out of the way now, I know you're both back there...come on down!

[Xander Xavier Luther]

The first man to answer would be the reigning champion. His theme begins to play and the fans come to their feet. The cameras centered on XXL, standing tall on the stage with the XWAWorld Title still on his broad shoulder and a smile on his fact at that fact. Donning a three-piece pinstriped suit, he walked down just off of the stage then lays the title to the ground to explode off his "machine gun" pyro display. The fans go wild as he takes up the title on his shoulder again and looks up into the ring and the two men who stood in the center.

Buzz: Sylk might be a little overzealous saying what he said. That match we witnessed between XXL and Brandon Payne at OTS had to have been the greatest title match in XWA History, and we've seen some classics this year alone! Syrus Vs. Magnus, Samson Vs. Cage, Sonya Vs. Fury...but that one match there right now is on the top of my list!

A mic awaited XXL as he stepped inside the squared circle...

Well Robby, here we are again, huh? Here we are, you and me, in this ring, with you trying to downplay what it is that I've done. Correct me if I'm wrong...but I am the World Champion, right?

As he asked the question, he raised the title to where Robby could clearly see it.

And I beat you to win it...then went into Athens and defended it against one of the greats in the game in a match that everywhere I go people are saying was the greatest ever! That just doesn't sit too well with you, does it? You just can't be happy for being victorious over Kayn, something that only you and Magnus can say they've done.

Oh no...you're the GOLD*, you're the leader of the pack. You want all the spotlight, all the attention, all the press. Robby, Robby, Robby, I'm afraid that's not going to happen. Not when there are guys like me who step into this ring who're about something more than just being popular or wanting to be above the curve.

You see, men like me keep men like you in check. That's what I've been for you since XGAMES1 Sylk, a reality check. You can come out here and hype yourself up as much as you want. People may believe, but there's one guy out there who knows better, and that's the man who always pulls you back down to earth when your heads too far in the clouds. That's what happened at Solstice, and that's what will happen at Devil's Night...but let's keep things in the present.

Xander looks over now to Breaker, standing arms folded, looking like the typical "don't mess with me" type.

So you want to have a tag team match tonight. You and your boy against me and Kayn, huh? I'm not sure if that's such a good idea this close to DN for you Sylk. Obviously, you wouldn't have brought along a guy like this unless his job is to protect you...and trust me on this one Robby, nothing and nobody is going to protect you...

[Tony Battaglia]

Just as Robby was about to speak, the man named Breaker tapped him on his shoulder and asked for the microphone.

Roach: Oh? It looks like the hired muscle's got something to say?

Let's get one thing straight. This man right here doesn't need protection. He's the best damn athlete in wrestling today, and the NEXT XWAWorld Champion. (pushing the centerplate on XXL's belt)

I ain't a bodyguard for him. I ain't "big backup" or hired muscle. I'm the #4 Hitter, Luther. The clean-up man. I hurt people and I'm real good at it. That's what I'm in it for...the broken bones and thousands of dollars that I get from breakin' them.

You already know the story. Viewer Discretion...mature themes, sex & violence. Ha ha...now you can add extreme blood and gore to that disclaimer. I'm here to make things ugly, and you better believe they're gonna get ugly.

The clean-up man, huh?

XXL stands toe-to-toe, face to face with Sylk's associate.

I guess that means you're a heavy-hitter, doesn't it? Well, I'm honestly not too worried or caring of whatever kind of business arrangement you have with him. You want to step into this ring and break some bones? Let's see tonight then if you can walk the walk as well as you say you can.

You're about to get it on with THE heavy hitters in this business though, Breaker. The two best big men in wrestling today...and that's the facts.

Heh Heh Heh...

Breaker's immediate response was a sly smirk and a feint chuckle.

That's fine by me. You know what I say to that? The bigger they are, the harder I hit 'em.

And then he, like XXL was as well, stare the man across from him in the eyes unchallenged and unwavering.

Roach: This just became a tense and intense situation. I don't know who this guy Breaker is, but he's one salty dog as they say here in Texas.

[Kayn]

*Not long after Breaker finished his statement, the crowd erupted as “Hammer Smashed Face” played over the speakers. Within seconds Kayn walked out from behind the curtain with a mic in hand, he stood on the stage for a moment and looked out to the crowd before making his way to the ring.*

Mike: ”Here comes Kayn partner, and he doesn’t look happy.”

Buzz: ”Of course not Roach, he got his hide handed to him by my main man ‘The Gold*’ and he’s probably gonna whine about it now.”

*Kayn made it to ring side and looked at XXL which brought a smile to his face, then he turned his attention to Robby and his new friend which he quickly changed his demeanor, he then walked up the ring steps and climbed into the ring. As his music faded he looked at the men in the ring and raised his mic.*

“I’ve gotta say this… well this is a surprise. You know, I knew that you’d come out here Robby and tout your win over me, which would be expected when you’re one of the few men this season to say they have a win over me, but never in my wildest dreams did I think you would be so excited over a win that you would want to call myself and the big man here out on the same night.”

*The crowd cheered and some chanted for Kayn, some chanted for Xander, this bought a smile to Kayn’s face. Kayn then turned his attention to Breaker while still speaking to Robby and continued.*

“And while we don’t know much about your new friend here, he says that we can add extreme blood and gore to the Viewer Discretion disclaimer. Well, I say a little gore now and then never really hurt anyone.”

*The crowd cheers as Kayn smirks towards Breaker, showing no fear to the new man in the ring.*

Buzz: ”He might want watch his tongue, Breaker seems to be the kind of guy to tear it out of his head.”

*Kayn lowered his mic and waited for a reply from anyone.*

Robby somehow managed to wrestle the mic out of Breaker's hand and pull him back a good distance from both XXL and Kayn. He had a little grin on his face as he did so.

Well, looks like we're gettin' motivated now aren't we? This is going to be an interesting night I have to tell you. As far as the blood and gore goes though, hey...whatever floats your boats boys. You seems to want it quite a bit, don't you Kayn? You're looking a little upset there.

Why so serious?

All I want is the "W", and when I get it, I want each and every one of you to get used to the feeling of it, because tonight, Devil's Night, XGAMES, whenever...I'll be collecting them like they're going out of style!

[Kayn]

*Kayn laughed a little at Robby’s comment.*

“Robby I promise you, when I’m upset… you’ll know it.”

*The crowd cheers as Kayn continued.*

“You only want the win, huh? Well I’m gonna have to say that tonight, if you get a win over myself and the champ here, then it will be well deserved. However, when you don’t get the win make sure your pal here gives you his shoulder to cry on.”

*Kayn then turns to Xander.*

“Don’t worry champ, I’ll make sure we leave enough for you to finish him off and embarrass him at Devil’s Night and X-Games.”

*Kayn smiles as he extends his hand to Xander.*

XXL accepted the handshake of his partner for the night and had just a little more to add to the current situation.

All I've gotta say is that tonight Robby, you and your new pal here are in for a rude awakening.

You're still living in your little fairy tale world. All that champagne and caviar, the limo-riding and Lear jet riding is starting to get to your head...but don't worry man. Tonight, one more time you'll get yourself a nice little dose of reality.

And you Breaker? We're gonna see just how hard you hit, my man. You're about to get initiated.
